(Luckily they hadn’t). Some drivers literally don’t know where they’re going, even though the address has been sent to them and it’s in their sat nav. Makes me nervous as a female passenger. A polite greeting when you get into the car would also be a way to alleviate this. ### 2/5 — Can’t add card *2024-10-04, version 6.5.0* Main reason for using apps is to pay by card for journeys however, for several months I’ve been unable to add my card to the account. Now whenever I try and book a new journey I’m stuck being forced to rate my previous driver. There is no way to remove this and without rating the app is useless. I appreciate driver feedback is important but please do not make it mandatory. ### 2/5 — Their rewards program is actually a scam *2024-03-06, version 5.4.0* Their rewards program initially discounts the Journey with your points but later on bills your bank again for the difference lmao. I went to the office at serpentine even called the office and no one can tell me why it don’t work. Combined with the fact it turns out Peterborough Cars taxis don’t have card readers it essentially makes the company useless :-( ### 3/5 — Sort the app out *2022-10-17, version 4.4.1* Previous app worked great - please sort out the new app it’s terrible! Can’t seem to pay via card or store a card. Drivers are usually lovely and always punctual. It would be great if I could use my company credit card (happy to pay an uplift to do so!) cheers ### 1/5 — Absolutely the worst app ever built *2022-10-07, version 4.4.0* If I could rate this app zero stars I would, happily. The old app worked perfectly. This is beyond just a downgrade, it’s almost impossible to use. And from speaking to the drivers (when I can actually book them) it’s literally ruining their jobs as well. I’m being as polite as I can be when I say this is the worst thing you can ever use and if you download it you will hugely regret it. Here’s why, and why I will be changing to literally any other cab provider in Peterborough other than Peterborough cars after 5 years of regular use; * it suggests Apple Pay as a way to pay, but the button literally does nothing. * it tells me my cab is 8 minutes away when they are 20 metres away from me * they launched it with no warning other than a text message the night before, and the new app forgot every single one of my details (addresses, payment details, etc) * there is no feedback until the very last minute about your trip. So I’m currently standing here waiting for a cab with no update when I booked it over an hour ago * the drivers hate the new cab9 system, it’s slow and taking ages to find fares Worst app I’ve ever seen. Don’t use Peterborough cars. Real shane as they used to be good. But will never use again ### 3/5 — Reg Numbers Not Available *2022-08-09, version 4.1.0* It’s no longer possible to see the registration of the car that’s been booked, making it very unsafe for passengers to work out which can is theirs as have to approach cars to speak to drivers without knowing for sure they’re the right person. Please re-add this feature. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Please Avoid *2025-08-07, version 6.14.0* I had an extremely disappointing experience with Peterborough Cars and would not recommend their service. • I was overcharged £35 because they counted infants as full passengers, which goes against official transport guidance. This charge was never made clear at the time of booking. • The driver threatened to leave me and my family stranded at the airport, which was shocking and completely unprofessional. • They also added a waiting time charge, but there is no clear policy available on when it starts or how it’s calculated. ### 1/5 — Useless *2025-07-19, version 6.14.0* The app doesn’t even let me sign up. When I put my number in it says it’s sent me a text message with a code but nothing ever gets sent to me. ### 1/5 — Often late *2024-09-27, version 6.5.0* First 2 or 3 times was good. It’s not because of the £2, but as a customer I lile to know how much I am paying from the begining, so I can have a choice.
