I think I’ve done an update lately in the app and now my machine doesn’t work at all! Quite disappointing, I HATE HATE having to throw stuff in the landfills. But that’s where this is heading as without the app it’s useless for feeding! Alas, it still works as a glorified camera. I Bought this in 2021, so I guess I got a decent amount of time out of it? ### 2/5 — Generally good app but… *2023-09-30, version 4.0.3* Notifications are no longer received by other devices when feed is dispensed, so our dog could be overfed by other users if the feeding log is not checked first or not warned if no food is dispensed due to blockage or the feeder is empty. Still no change even after deleting then reinstalling app. Please sort out. ### 2/5 — Worked for a while but can’t change the WiFi *2023-08-27, version 4.0.3* I used this for a while and it worked, I moved and got a new WiFi system and the pet feeder won’t allow me to start a new connection. Whenever I open the app and select a device, the app asks me 2-3 times to change the time zone on the device since I’m currently in a different time zone. Info is correct, just stay loading and loading ### 3/5 — PetFun app changed to DrFeeder app! *2020-03-29, version 3.20.2* The PetFun app no longer is working properly from my iPhone or iPad. When going to the App Store to check to see if there was an update, I noticed there was nothing new. I downloaded it anyway and set it up. Still no luck. But I did notice that the developer of the PetFun app does have other feeder apps that have been developed, as shown below the PetFun app in the App Store. I downloaded the “DrFeeder” app. Well, it looks exactly like the old PetFun app, with one major difference.....it WORKS!! Identical in every way. It would have been nice if we PetFun users had been notified of the change. So that is my job, to let everyone know of this East switchover. I deleted the PetFun app and all is well with Dr. Feeder app. ### 1/5 — Pet fun Really? *2020-01-26, version 3.19.1* What junk software Can’t connect to the network so unreliable . I don’t know how many times I have had to reload the software . Before leaving on a trip tested everything to make sure we could automatically and manually feed the pets. The next day while away the feeder would no longer connect to feed the pets so we have to return home so they don’t starve. When you’re dealing with someone’s pets and weather they eat or not, the app should be solid and not under feeding or over feeding animals. Worked for a day then our WiFi went out in the whole apartment now it can not connect. I’ve tried resetting my password and still can’t login. I then tried to register a new account and that doesn’t work either, so I can’t do anything. Thankfully the feeders still work, but I want to change the feeding schedule and can’t. When the app worked, it was great, but don’t know what’s going on now and it seems I can no-longer download the app, having deleted it from my phone. ### 1/5 — Notification stop working *2020-04-13, version 3.20.4* I have an IPhone 11 Pro Max, the notification on this app stopped working awhile ago. I have tried reset the device(pet feeder) and also delete and download the app again on my phone. Apple just released an iOS update and now the scroll wheels are gone. As a developer myself I see there are a lot of negative comments, and just want to put a positive one out there: it’s been working great for me and I hope you folks continue to maintain this application. My feeder works great and I hope one day this product gets back on the market. ### 5/5 — Flawless *2020-03-04, version 3.19.1* After reading the last review I was concerned. For me it worked perfectly. No problems connecting to my wifi. The QR code must be facing the camera of the feeder (not your phone) so maybe the past reviewer made an error. This feeder doubles as an indoor security camera while we’re away. It’s nice to have that piece of mind for your pet. ### 5/5 — Works as expected *2019-12-10, version 3.18.8* I bought it recently and initially had troubles when connecting the device to my wifi, finally the trick is to turn off your mobile data and only keep your mobile connecting to the 2.4g wifi before setting up the device ### 5/5 — Just as advertised *2019-12-02, version 3.18.8* When trying to connect to the internet please keep in mind that only 2.4GHz WiFi Network is supported. Once I realized that from the huge red warning on the manual I had no issue connecting to the app. ### 5/5 — Awesome pet feeder, works really well! *2019-06-19, version 3.16.1* I bought the pet feeder in May 2019 from Cat Evolution (Australia). I was a bit worried at first that the device wouldn’t work properly due to its reviews being mixed, but I’m extremely happy that I made this purchase. Setting it up the device was a bit tricky and didn’t work properly the first time (constantly said connection failed). However, after re-attempting the set up of the device to the wifi (and some patience), it finally worked (note: the device only works with 2.4ghz wifi though, which is fine since most wifi networks host both 2.4ghz and 5ghz). And boy, does it work well. The app isn’t the most update to date, but it works very well. We have our cat’s food set to different times throughout the day that always go off according to schedule without fail. The 130° camera is awesome and we love watching our cat throughout the day while we are at work, as the camera works even away from one’s home wifi. The sound works well, and we can even talk to our cat (or other people in the house, hahaha) live from the app. Contrary to what others have said about the app, it does show when and how much food has been dispensed in the ‘Event List’ function. It also sends us a notification every time the food has been dispensed, as well as noting how much has been dispensed. Overall, this is a really awesome device and an awesome app if you get through the tricky process of setting it up. ### 4/5 — Works pretty well *2025-09-09, version 4.0.3* This app and feeder have worked for us for over 5 yrs. Sometimes the pre programmed feeds don't appear when I open it but closing and restarting seems to work. Otherwise, works as it should. Just wish I could find the pet companion series cameras.
