Petit Bac — the French word game, now with real multiplayer. Everyone plays on their own phone at the same time. A letter is drawn, the timer starts, and the first player to fill in every category hits STOP and freezes everyone else. No paper, no pens. NEW: EVERYONE ON THEIR OWN PHONE Create a game, share the 4-letter code, and your friends join in seconds. Up to 8 players. Creating a game requires a Premium subscription — joining a friend's game is always free. NO MORE ARGUMENTS OVER ANSWERS The app checks words for you: all 197 countries, capitals, cities, first names, car brands, colours, plus the French dictionary for everything else. It flags what looks doubtful, and the group settles it by vote. No single player can reject someone else's answer alone. HOW IT WORKS A letter is drawn at random. Each player fills their grid with words starting with that letter. A word nobody else found is worth double. Simple, fast, endlessly replayable. It is also known as the French version of Scattergories, Tutti Frutti or baccalauréat. Can everyone play on their own phone? Yes, that is new in this version. The host creates a game and shares a code; the others enter it and join immediately. Everyone writes at the same time, and whoever finishes first hits STOP. Do I need a subscription to play together? Only creating an online game requires the subscription. Joining a friend's game is free and unlimited. The single-phone mode is entirely free. How does the app check answers? It uses built-in reference lists and the iPhone French dictionary. It never rejects a word on its own: it flags it, and the group votes. Everything works offline. How many players? From 2 to 8. This is now fixed in both game modes. A word that cannot be found is now rejected automatically when scoring. One tap accepts it if the group considers it valid — no word list is ever complete, so players have the final say. LARGER DICTIONARY 2,707 built-in references, up from 1,200: - 609 world cities. The City category only knew French cities and capitals, so Barcelona, Milan or Marrakesh were rejected. - 662 first names instead of 367. - Rivers, mountains, seas, deserts, lakes, regions and islands: these categories were not checked at all.
