## What is Petite Jérusalem?

Petite Jérusalem is a free app to study and share Torah, on your own or together with others.

• Full library: Tehilim, Mishnah, Talmud (Gemara) and Tanakh, with a reader built for Hebrew text and its translation.

• Shared reading: create a session to split study between several people (finish the Chass together by sharing out the Talmud tractates, read all 150 Tehilim as a group for a refuah shelemah or in memory of a loved one) and track progress all the way to the siyum.

• Offline reading: download texts to read them without a connection, on a plane or off the grid.

• Daily reading reminder: a notification at the time you choose, so you never miss your daily reading.

• Daily times: zmanim calculated on your device for your location, which is never sent anywhere.

• Chiourim: a selection of audio lessons (shiurim) to listen to.

Petite Jérusalem is completely free, ad-free, and available in French, English and Hebrew. An account is useful to keep your preferences and progress, but is not required to read.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 3.10.10 — 2026-10-03

What's new
• Perpetual Tehilim chain: always open, entrust it with a name for a refuah shleimah or a leilui nishmat.
• Calendar: "Convert a date", and the date of a bar mitzvah.
• "My dates": enter the Gregorian date, the Hebrew one is computed.
• Sign-in: clear messages, and "Last used".

Fixes
• Android 10: books download offline again.
• Shnayim mikra: Vezot Haberakha opens.
• Bracha acharona: Sukkot is mentioned.

### 3.10.9 — 2026-09-30

What's new
• News from the team: new features, incidents and questions, on the home page and as notifications.
• Search tolerates spellings: "Shabbat" finds "Chabbat".
• During a holiday, Moadim opens on its texts and the Siddur leads there.
• Tehilim 119: one stanza per letter, to find the letters of a name.

Fixes
• Rosh Chodesh: the full repetition of Musaf.
• Chol HaMoed Mincha: the holiday psalm replaces Lamnatseach.
• Transliteration: the Name reads "Adonai".

### 3.10.8 — 2026-09-29

What's new
- The app's profile has been redesigned: it is organised in groups, like a phone's settings (My readings, Settings, My account, Help, Information). Each row shows what is set there, and language has its own page.
- The whole Siddur and the Tehilim are in the app from installation.
- The Hoshanot are now a single book that opens on the current day, with a tab for each day to read the others. Shacharit leads to them after Hallel, and the end of the Hoshanot brings you back to the Kaddish that follows.
- The introduction gets to the point: a few settings, the texts to take offline, and the reading gestures on the last page, which you can skip.

Fixes
- The full Hallel (Chanukah, Chol HaMoed Sukkot) opens with its blessing, "ligmor et haHallel".
- Birkat Hamazon: on Chol HaMoed Sukkot and Pesach, we say "ביום מקרא קדש הזה".
- Shacharit no longer includes putting on tefillin on Chol HaMoed, following Sephardic custom.
- Creating a session: the form says which field is missing and takes you to it, instead of a message hidden under the button.
- The Tehilim no longer show a "Download" button, since they are already in the app.
- Android: time and Shabbat reminders now carry the app icon instead of a generic "i".

### 3.10.7 — 2026-09-26

Minor bug fixes.

### 3.10.6 — 2026-09-22
