Please refresh this app to meet the expectations of today’s applications. Litter box does what it is supposed to but you would never know based on the app! ### 2/5 — Bien mais .. *2025-08-16* Application qui peut clairement mieux faire.. les notifications ne fonctionnent pas, on ne peut pas mettre les noms de nos chats et le design est très simple.. même applications que pour une autre marque de litière. Pour le prix du produit de base on s’attend à avoir une application qui va avec.. assez déçu ### 3/5 — Figured out Issue *2025-05-26* It wouldn’t be right if o didn’t come on and say I figured out the WiFi Bluetooth issue. It took me hours. I had to unplug, reboot and redo all the products and WiFi, including turning off my phone and starting completely over and finally everything popped up. Now, we will see how well it really works. My cats are sniffing around and getting acclimated to using it. ### 3/5 — App is not great *2025-05-13* The app is not good. It updated in real time the first day, but now it won’t update the time log despite refreshing/closing out the app and starting again. This app is untested. The litter boxes do not retain the settings you save. Notifications have randomly stopped working. Only way to fix it is by unplugging and replugging in the litter box. ### 1/5 — Can’t remove from random standby *2025-01-20* Not only that is the stinkiest litter box ever (I also have another selfie cleaning litter box which doesn’t smell at all), the app is full of glitches. Randomly my litter box is now on “standby mode” and there is no way to fix that. I can’t turn it on or off, can’t access settings, nothing.. in the meanwhile the litter is sitting there smelling my whole room ### 2/5 — App is not reliable *2024-11-26* The poor app is seriously degrading the value of the new litter box. The app consistently shows no data for when the cat used the litter box, requiring the app to be quit and reopened. Times are stuck in military time. Overall feels like a cheap foreign app. ### 1/5 — Needs serious improvement *2024-11-21* So many issues with the app not refreshing data correctly, off weight measurements, and easy misses like having no notification sent to my phone when the waste box is full. Even when it’s offline I got no notification. Please work on updating this app. ### 1/5 — The app is disfuncional on every conceivable level *2024-11-09* The app simply refuses to connect, asked for my WiFi name and password, as well as my location citing that i need to connect to a hotspot. However this is far from the worst of it there is another app from the same company with all there other products aside from this one, how illogical could one company be to split apps, especially when asking for private information while only having 5 now 6 reviews. It still hasn’t connected, however the litter box does function properly from the seems of it. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — App STINKS but product is great *2026-03-27* I have this litter box as well as the Litter Robot 3 and I prefer this one. However, this app is HORRIBLE and based on the other reviews I have read, I’m surprised they have not done something about it by now. I finally gave up on getting the app rebooted/reinstalled in order to eliminate the “Cat is in the box” status. I might try again or I may just use it without it. The app has never worked very well and it lacks a lot of features I have with the Litter Robot. If the app is really important to you, invest in the Litter Robot. ### 1/5 — It will spam you at all hours of the day and night *2026-01-26, version 1.2.8* I’ve had this for a few months and I’m not sure if this is a glitch or etc but the only thing find wrong or bad about this app is the fact that it will spam you hundreds of times until you either clean it or completely remove the tray and reinsert it. As I’m writing this review it has spammed me 300+ times over and over again without stopping. I can’t turn notifications off, not that you’d want to you’d preferably like to know when to clean it but every time hundreds if not thousands of notifications. I’ve had this damn thing tell me it’s full at 2 am and will spam me and wake me up before work multiple times. This is something that genuinely needs fixed or I will be absolutely turning this in since I have the warranty still. Only draw back, beware of this feature. ### 1/5 — Does not work *2025-09-10, version 1.2.1* I set up originally it worked and within a week it just stopped. Their instructions are of NO help. They don’t provide a phone number for assistance. DON’T BUY YOU WILL REGRET IT, VERY FRUSTRATING AND A BIG WASTE OF MONEY. ### 1/5 — Terrible. *2025-08-09, version 1.2.1* Never can get it into new litter mode. Always says there is a cat inside. Do not spend your money on this product. ### 1/5 — Connection issues *2025-07-09* Not worth the cost mostly bc connectivity issues & often times it thinks the cat is still in there or just doesn’t dump. I come back after 4 days to make sure it still works and I discover that my cats have started using the floor because the box doesn’t want to spin. ### 1/5 — Do not buy this product *2025-04-04* No where on the packaging for this product is it explicitly stated that it needs 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi connection order to function at all, it will absolutely not work with a 5 GHz connection as stated in their troubleshooting FAQ and when consulting their customer service department I was told asking if there was anything I could do if I only had a 5 GHz connection I was told “Unfortunately, no. If you do not have the ability to use it on the 2.4 gHz network, it would need to be returned.” ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Perfect Feeder *2026-07-31* I would have had to stay at home feeding an elderly cat 3x day wet food diet . This is not worth it please do not get this. ### 5/5 — It’s more than enough *2024-09-13* Has so many features and details for no reason but it’s designed very well and neat. ### 4/5 — Second Time Around *2026-05-25* I purchased my first PetSafe Litter Locker on November 16,2025; and in the beginning I was happy with the results. But a few months into the purchase I started having trouble with the sensor. I did everything they recommended to correct the problem and it would work for a little while and then happen again. Sometimes it would go around as many times as 5 times before finally adjusting itself. Then one day in May of 2026 I got a notification that the waste bin was full. I changed it and replaced the drawer but the signal would not go out. I did everything and the signal just wouldn't go out. So I called the headquarters and spoke with Matthew. We went through a series of different things trying to get the signal to go out but we were unsuccessful. Matthew then told me the machine was under warranty and with a copy of proof of purchase, the machine would be replaced. That was music to my ears! I sent him the necessary paperwork and a new PetSafe Litter Locker was at my door the next day! Just so happen, that was my birthday too! This new one seems to be improved. So it's been smooth sailing so far; and I hope it stays that way throughout its lifetime. ### 4/5 — Getting Better *2025-04-02* The original app had issues but it’s improving. The product is great and a good value. ### 3/5 — Add a “full bin” notification please *2025-06-30* The box itself is great after a couple months of use. The app isn’t very useful. It would be great if it actually notified me when the bin is full. The only other tell is the light on the box itself. Otherwise you wouldn’t know unless you actually open the app. If you don’t empty it in time then it stays in an open mode until you do and then your house stinks. I have the box in a less frequented area so it may be hours before I notice it’s full. I bought the box because of the possibility of notifications.
