Keeps the dog out and controls smell. Now I get notifications EVERY SINGLE TIME one of my cats uses the litter box for any amount of time and there’s no way to turn it off without turning off all notifications. Went away for a weekend and made sure my cat’s auto feeder was on. This liter box decides to go offline as soon as I leave. You can’t reconnect unless you are next to the unit. I literally have had to reconnect this litter box every two weeks since I brought it ### 1/5 — Horrible *2025-12-29, version 3.0.0* Paid almost $700 for this litter box and the app is ridiculous, I turn off my bluetooth one time and it lost all data and has changed completely. Now I cannot turn the lights on my device to see when it isn’t working. ### 1/5 — Used to be fine *2025-12-15, version 2.0.9* The app used to work fine before an update recently. It was never the best app but still worked. When they updated it to change the look and feel, it completely broke it. Half the time when I try to log in it just logs me back out or the feeder doesn’t show up in the app. When I try to add the feeder back in it is such a pain compared to when I first set it up with no problem. Probably returning my $550 paperweight ### 1/5 — Big, Trendy, Disaster App *2025-11-30* The unit looks great, but it’s deceivingly big. Our cat took to the PetSnowy pretty quickly, but we’ve never been able to keep the device connected to the app, which is kinda the whole point of the auto cleaning experience. We’ve never been able to track cat usage because every few days the device can’t be accessed from the app, meaning we have to go through the whole song and dance of adding it again. Which can’t even happen if you’re of town. We had high hopes and had a good experience the first few days but the inconsistency with the app means cannot recommend spending a premium on this product. ### 1/5 — Will not stay connected to the App *2025-11-29, version 2.0.6* Horrible - worst app ever! When I first got the machine it worked fine. Now I can no longer add it to the app nor control it. So basically it is useless!! What a waste of a lot of money! Obviously, they don’t care about return customers - otherwise they would find a way to fix this app. Will not be buying a pet snowy ever again! I had to choose 1 star as negative stars are not an option. ### 1/5 — 3rd base has failed *2025-11-28, version 2.0.4* This is the THIRD base in two years - first one sat in the box for several months - when I installed, it lasted less than two months, the second one lasted 3 1/2 months tha, the third one has lasted less than 6. Not one but TWO water fountains have failed. My account disappeared, all the data is gone. I wish I’d never gotten it. Deleted it from my phone and redownloaded it thinking that would fix the issue, but it didn’t. ### 1/5 — Wish it worked *2026-05-12, version 3.0.0* This app doesn’t notify or track anything. When I open the app it appears to work and lets me control the litter box but it never alerts me to my cat using it and shows zero history. I have notifications enabled for the app turned on. All my other iot devices have no problems. Seems to be related to a recent update. I wouldn’t mind because I don’t use the app that much but what I do use it for is to auto feed my cat (the only function the device serves). I am no longer able to set up any schedules rendering the app and device a paperweight. App was much better and more user friendly before this update and layout change. I keep getting errors about time zone change, and notification alerts that won’t go away. ### 1/5 — High prices, poor quality app *2025-12-31* I own litter box, two feeders, two fountain waters and the air purifier. I rely on my app to work for my pets even more so when I am away from home for work, travel or running errands. Half of the time the little box does want to run correctly. And the app is terrible because it keeps changing back and forth from the old version to an updated version. When it changes it messes with my cat’s feeding schedules and then they don’t get fed unless I manually feed them. The first time this happened we didn’t catch it. We just thought they kept eating all their food. Until we realized their food level was not moving. Sad that my cats were missing out on meals because this company’s app is trash. If I would have known I wouldn’t have invested the money. Don’t waste your time or money. ### 1/5 — Incorrect notifications *2025-12-31, version 3.0.0* Great in theory and I love the products, but I get about 25-40 “low food alert” notifications a day even when the feeder is fully stocked. I tried customer support, they did an upgrade and actually sent me a new feeder but the app continues to send me 15 messages back to back saying low food alert. The app is simple but it works for what it is and addresses almost everything you need for the litter box. Thankfully I haven’t been having any of the issues the other low review people seem to have. I love the little messages it sends you after they use it, it’s a very cute touch! The ONLY thing I wish the app had was a button to reset the weight remotely incase you forgot to do it after adding litter!
