## What is petTracer Connect?

The petTracer Update app keeps the software of your GPS collar and home station
up to date.

The app guides you through the update step by step: it shows which devices are
nearby, which software version is installed and whether a newer one is
available. You start the update with a single tap – the app takes care of the
rest.

HOW IT WORKS

• Place the collar on the home station
• Open the app and select your device
• Start the update and follow the progress
• Done – the app confirms the new version

WHAT THE APP DOES FOR YOU

• Automatically recognises your petTracer devices and shows only those
• Downloads the matching software on its own – no file selection needed
• Verifies every file before transferring it
• Explains in plain language what to do if something goes wrong

FOR COLLAR AND HOME STATION

The app tells your devices apart automatically and uses the correct software for
each one. Mixing them up is not possible.

TWO LANGUAGES

German and English, switchable at any time inside the app.

NOTES

The app needs Bluetooth to connect to your devices and an internet connection to
download the current software. It collects no personal data and does not require
access to your location.

This app is solely for software updates. Tracking your pet continues to work via
the familiar petTracer app.
