The main issue I have is the buttons for navigation, selecting a game, starting a game and using the keyboard to enter in name hotspots are off as much as a while key on the keyboard. That's was when this game was amazing. It was excellent. It was original. It WAS. I got this game almost exactly one year ago. I got it when the "chromatic conflict" was added to the game. The game was both simple an fun. You just played for fun and for fun only. This went up to when "megagore" came out. Not only was megagore amazingly fun, but it gave us something more like what you would expect for a payed game. When the update for online leaderboards appeared, I thought this game would be amazing. I THOUGHT. If you are a person like me, you are an anti-lite shopper. I will never download a "lite" version of something unless it looks really good. Pewpew, sadly, now looks just like a lite version of Pewpew 2 (which I downloaded right when I saw it). The interface, music, and medals all look like Pewpew 2. Now that I have Pewpew 2, I will never play the original ever again. Does thy happen with Mario games? Sonic games? ANY GAME? No. The interface wasn't the only thing that turned me off, but also the updated "assault" mode. To be honest (and some people will agree), the old assault mode was better. It was just wave after wave of blue enemies (no red) that kept your hands hot. Now it feels more tedious and much harder, especially with the addition of ridiculously-hard-to-get MEDALS. I must say after owning the game for an entire year, it is the longest kept game on my iPod. But for a couple months now, me and my friends (and a few reviewers below) want the old Pewpew back. We want the old interface, the old design, the old assault, the old anything that ONCE made Pewpew unique from it's sequel. To be honest, I think this just seems to be an advertisement product foe Pewpew 2. After owning it for one year, I think it is time for this game to be deleted entirely from my iPod. Goodbye Pewpew. Maybe you should tell me when you want to change back. This was five stars, but to my frustration, now only gets two. I considered putting one, but it's kinda hard for a now mediocre free game, so, two stars.  ### 2/5 — Pew Pew, Better before the update *2010-05-15, version 0* This update on Pew Pew brings alot to the table, but unfortunately I was not pleased after updating. The new tweak in graphics are very good and are pleasing to the eye, but unfortunately the new music doesn't really flow with this hardcore space shooter. There should be a option to pick which songs from the built in soundtrack you would like played. The sound effects I saw could be turned off from the menu, but when hit did nothing. The sound effect don't really match well and sound kidish for this deep game. The interface before the update was simple and easy, the update now brings a fancy interface with fireworks in the background, simple and easy was much much better. The medals offered from ingame achievements are small and graphicly badly made. And lastly where are my previous high scores. I was a big fan of the game before the update, although this update has alot going for it, it has alot of drawbacks. And if Pew Pew 2 has the same look and feel of this update, I'll think I'll hold back for now.
