Simply submit a photo of a power pole, power line or other electrical equipment that you think is hazardous, along with the location and a brief description. Case closed. This is nonsense. The wires crossing our yard belong to PGE. The landlord had to go to great lengths to get hold of them by phone instead. ### 1/5 — Photo issue *2025-06-01* Photos from an iPhone are too big - ap doesn't tell you what size works. ### 1/5 — Fatal flaw *2025-05-21* Reported a badly corroded transformer. They keep asking for more pictures, video, etc. I’m reporting a safety issue, but rather than sending someone to take a look they just want to keep asking for more so I’ll get tired and give up. Just send someone to look. ### 5/5 — Worked Really Well for Me - 2/24 *2025-02-04* TLDR: I did not see any of the (many) problems reported in much earlier reviews. I was able to easily create a report, received quick updates on the status of the issue, and crew came same day to address the issue. Highly recommend this app for reporting problems. I noticed a broken branch leaning on a service drop after a recent storm. I was able to easily report the problem, including location and photos. I did need to provide an email address, but did not need to wait for approval of the address or create an account. It allows you to use your camera to take photos while creating the report, or use saved photos from your photo library. Tip: if you're taking photos to make a report later, take a photo of the ID tags on the nearest utility pole; they want that photo in the report. After submitting a report, I received an email acknowledging receipt of the report, and then another once it had been assigned. A crew arrived later the same day to fix the problem. Great experience all around. I noticed that the developer is issuing regular updates to the app, so not only have they addressed many of the issues people complained about earlier, they are actively maintaining it. So, if you have a non-emergency PG&E issue to report, I highly recommend using this app. Also write a positive review (or at least a rating). There are lots of negative reviews, but most of them are old. ### 1/5 — No wonder PGE is in trouble *2024-12-19* Get it together, PG&E how can you have the public try to help you if your app that you advertise on your website doesn’t work! ### 1/5 — Failure at step 1 *2024-02-13* Can’t even register. Had plenty of time since I’ve been on hold for 35 minutes already trying to leave a broken meter report. The app is representative of the company. ### 3/5 — Not as useful as it could be *2024-02-06* You have to register to report anything, and it can take 24hrs for your registration to be approved. So, if you see a hazard when you’re out and about, you can’t effectively report it if your registration isn’t complete. Doesn’t look like there’s any option to report as a guest. You’ll be better off calling their emergency number. ### 1/5 — Why no app for the rest of us? *2024-01-16* I am a PG&E customer of many years, but my electricity is with SMUD. I would like to track my daily gas usage like I do my electrical on the SMUD app, but PG&E doesn’t have such an app, only one to report electrical outages.
