Unable to download key-pairs from any of the servers, and mostly causing the app the crash and close. Generated a new key-pair, but failed to upload to key server. Have been using this app for ~6 years, and these are the first bugs I’ve encountered. ### 2/5 — Great but outdated. No modern keys supported *2025-09-12, version 4.3.1* Great app, but very limited keys support. Needs to be updated for modern keys. Wish I knew before buying. That being said everytime i try to decrypt a pgp message the app errors, saying, ecc keys not supported. This was my last resort and it doesn't work the way I need it too. I need someting for ios and mac that functions like Kleopatra. Bei mir funktioniert die Entschlüsselung mit RSA 4096 z.B. nicht. Die Beschreibung „mehrere sprachen“ stimmt nicht ganz, es ist eine QWERTY Tastatur. Das letzte Update vor 1 Jahr. Ich würde mir die Integration von Yubico PGP wünschen, sodass keine privaten keys auf dem Handy liegen würden, sondern nur ein „Zeiger“ der auf den Yubico mit SN=123 zeigt. Verschlüsselung ist sehr wichtig, daher wünsche ich mir ein Update. ### 1/5 — Keyboard Issue *2021-04-25* So anytime I Encrypt or Sign a message the keys go black so I have to keep pressing the “123” key to get it to show the other keys. It’s frustrating that in order for me to encrypt a message it could take five minutes just to type the password because of an issue with the keyboard. Wrote to them and did not receive any reply… they show the availability of encryption and decryption for files on App Store, but this feature is too buggy! I’ve successfully imported 3rd party public key, so that seems ok. A nice app that functions smoothly. •••••••••••••••••••• Side rant: Back in the earl 90’s Philip Zimmerman created the first PGP, a command line application. Pretty Good Privacy was so good it was unbreakable. Zimmerman created the tool because he foresaw the need for privacy in an ever-increasingly connected world, where messages may pass through many different servers, and the contents could possibly be read, or intercepted. The public/private key employed by Zimmerman is now the de facto standard for many commercial applications. To quote Hunter S Thompson: “There is no such thing as paranoia. Your worst fears can come true at any moment.” The recent, and increasing, data breaches by one of the largest social media platforms should alarm everyone. Whenever encrypting or decrypting in the text area, if new text is pasted in, the Unlock & Lock buttons aren’t visible. The app has to be swiped from memory and re-started to enable further encrypting or decrypting. For a well thought out app, which does exactly what it says it will, this seems an annoying little bug that should have been squashed much earlier. Readily available tools pull every byte from your phone, exposing more data than the average person is aware of - all laid bare for law enforcement or your local phone repairer, except for those bytes encrypted with tools such as PGP. To quote Hunter S Thompson: “There is no such thing as paranoia. Your worst fears can come true at any moment.” ‼️ The recent, and increasing, data breaches by one of the largest social media platforms should alarm everyone. The original code being ‘liberated’ from two university associates, so I refuse to name the platform, or the fool behind it who’s ego lets him think he’s untouchable and answerable to no-one (even his own account was compromised). • Let’s not even begin to delve into one of the other biggest collectors of information, Google. ### 5/5 — Excellent *2020-08-11, version 4.3.1* I created my own PGP key, and I can encrypt and decrypt messages easy in all apps! ### 5/5 — Needs some more features *2020-01-06, version 4.3.1* Quick developer response, I had trouble decrypting non text files, the app would crash. But I have since figured out turning off ASCII armoured encryption solves the problem. Works well as a key manager.
