## What is PGPKit?

PGPKit is PGP for people who want it to work.

Send an encrypted message to anyone who uses GnuPG, Thunderbird, Proton Mail or OpenKeychain. Read what they send back. Check that a message really came from who it says. Every operation happens on your iPhone — there is no account, no server, and no analytics.

INTEROP YOU CAN COUNT ON
PGPKit is tested against four independent OpenPGP implementations — GnuPG, Sequoia, RNP (the engine inside Thunderbird) and GopenPGP (the engine inside Proton). Keys it creates are standard OpenPGP v4, readable everywhere.

PASTE ANYTHING
Copy an encrypted message from any mail app and tap Paste. PGPKit repairs the damage mail apps do — stray quote marks, broken line endings, extra spaces — and works out whether it is a message, a signature or a key.

ERRORS THAT MAKE SENSE
Instead of "decryption failed", PGPKit tells you what happened and what to do: the message was encrypted to a different key, the passphrase is wrong, the file was damaged in transit.

YOUR KEYS NEVER GET LOST
Creating a key walks you straight into a backup, protected by a passphrase you choose, and verified by opening it again before you save it. The backup is a standard OpenPGP file that GnuPG can open too.

FACE ID INSTEAD OF TYPING
Choose to remember a key's unlock and Face ID opens it in an instant. The unlocked key is held by iOS behind Face ID, never synced, never backed up.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• Keys stay in this phone's Keychain, excluded from iCloud and backups
• No account, no analytics, no ads, no crash reporting
• No version line or device details in anything you send; the one-line “Made with PGPKit” note switches off in Privacy & Data
• Works in airplane mode
