Delusional *2026-09-05, version 7.2.1* Never have seen this game in my life and was excited to see a phantom of the opera visual novel. Was kind of expecting the characters to not look like that at all. But my absolute shock is that the game is $59.99 for a pass which is the most expensive mobile game I’ve ever seen. That’s absolutely crazy. $10-20 (and $20 being on the more expensive side) would be way more reasonable. Also the watch 4 ads to keep playing seems deceiving as someone coming into this game might think one ad (based off the wording) means you can continue. $60 is absolutely insane. ### 4/5 — A Great Adaptation, But the Choices are an Illusion *2026-06-09, version 7.2.1* The game is incredibly faithful to the original book, aside from a few minor character additions and some creative liberties taken to give everyone more compelling backstories. My only real issue is with the beginning. The game baits you into playing by making you believe you can choose your own romantic ending. You are presented with a choice that feels important but doesn’t actually matter at the end of the day. Поставьте полезно ( продвиньте пожалуйста) ### 3/5 — Impossible to play kind-off *2026-03-24, version 7.2.1* I got this game 4 years ago, back when you had cats around the game that would give you coins if you watched and helped you proceed through chapters without having to stop or daily too much, overall it was a win win. I was around the final few chapter when, due to being young I ended up getting my device stolen and lost all motivation to work through all those chapters as you can skip them. Well it had been a while but I finally returned and now I’m js devastated to see it’s kinda basically P2W?? I can’t afford a membership bc I’m still in education so I don’t work and Ik almost everything that transpires in the game excluding the end so the sudden change was so surprising to me. You need to watch around 4 ads (wait 5 minutes between each ads like a cooldown) to then experience the 7-8 minutes of the chapter. The game has a lot of dedication put into it and it’s really great overall, I understand they need to make money but the game has been there since 2018, and this change now makes it almost unplayable for a student. I was immediately drawn to the rich storyline and characters. However, there has been some noticeable changes to the game since then. For example, I need to watch 4 ads to be able to play a new part. I could play as many parts without any restrictions! Игра мертва! ### 1/5 — FAILED. *2024-07-13, version 5.4.2* The game’s musical score and visual arts were indeed impressive, but this is the farthest my praise can go. I don’t even know what to say. There is so much wrong with this adaptation of the novel. They put a blotch on art by demolishing this classic work with outrageous feministic ideology. Not only did they ruin the characters by forcing them to do and say things they would never do or say, but they undermined their own efforts to make them better by taking away the already-present qualities in the book and therefore lowering them to the wallow of incompetent writing and purposeful deluding of interpretation. Aside, from obvious skewing of the plot line, there are many small details of which I would like to address: 1. Blind woman Melek? Not only did she fail to serve a purpose to the story at all, she is in fact completely fictional in the sense that she did not ever exists in the already-fictional work. In other words, not even worthy to be thought up. It is in question whether or not the name Melek ever passed the mind of Gaston Leroux, let alone the page. I hate her. 2. Christine’s lack of love Erik—lack of the ABILITY to love Erik is appalling. Her selfishness blinded her, thoroughly contradicting the true meaning of her character and the story itself. They seemed to be wanting to make her empowered, but in truth, they only stripped her of the power that had been within her in the novel. I hate her in this app. 3. Most of all, the most atrocious part of this game was its portrayal of Erik, the Phantom of the Opera, the Angel of Music. I’m not even as mad as I am confused. You must not have WANTED him to have any redeeming qualities, cuz you can’t honestly have missed all of them. The book literally spells it out at times. You’re telling me you got the fact that he had a stupid ostrich egg as decoration in his house, but you didn’t get that he was the most tender-hearted, gentle, and yes, BEAUTIFUL person? Deep down, sure, and not all the time, but it’s the whole point, and the author says it, and Christine knew it, but ohhhh nooo, we have to make sure that Christine has the girl power and can save herself, and it turns out he was just a twisted monster all along. Christine, Raoul, and Leroux call him the Angel faaar after all the atrocious things happen. It’s. The. Point. It’s part of the TRAGEDY. That’s what they did: they took out the tragedy. He’s not tragic anymore if he’s really evil. STUPID. WRETCHED. They swapped the heroes because they thought it shouldn’t be this way—WHO ARE YOU TO CHANGE A CLASSIC NOVEL TO SUIT WHAT YOU THINK IS RIGHT OR WRONG. PICK ANOTHER NOVEL TO MAKE A GAME OUT OF IF YOU THINK IT WASN’T GOOD, BUT KEEP YOUR GRUBBY LITTLE FINGERS OFF OF THE MOST UNHAPPY AND SUBLIME OF MEN.
