Import your collection, organize it your way, and enjoy detailed playback without accounts, ads, tracking, or reliance on streaming services. PLAY YOUR COLLECTION Import music from Files, iCloud Drive, USB storage, your computer over Wi-Fi, or folders on WebDAV and SMB network shares. Use folders in place or copy tracks into PhaseShift. Browse songs, albums, artists, genres, playlists, recently added music, and pinned favorites. Customize your library shelves and artwork sizes to suit your collection. Choose whether a sub device receives your whole library or only selected artists and playlists. A redesigned sync setup makes quality, transfer size, progress, and device roles easier to understand, while catalog-based syncing improves speed and reliability for large libraries. Customize the Library tab with album, song, pinned, and recently added shelves. You can also adjust album artwork sizes to fit more of your collection on screen. Tap the song title or artist in Now Playing to explore track details, artist information, albums, and songs. Now Playing controls are more flexible, and playback is more resilient when files or library sources change. Playlist importing now supports selecting multiple files at once. Settings have also been reorganized so sources, metadata tools, playback options, and library sync are easier to find. This update also improves artwork transfer, app data cleanup, library maintenance, storage handling, and overall reliability. ### 1.3 — 2026-07-31 PhaseShift 1.3 makes large and multi-device libraries easier to manage. Choose a preferred song quality when syncing a sub device, and sort or filter Songs by quality throughout your library. M4A tracks are now labeled more accurately as lossless or lossy. Folders used in place can now be fully rescanned, and referenced tracks open more reliably in PhaseShift. Paired devices can also rediscover the primary device after its local IP address changes. Force Sync now transfers album artwork, music imports and startup scans provide clearer progress, and metadata rechecks show live progress in Settings. You can now add the current track to a playlist directly from Now Playing. This release also improves batch metadata updates, album grouping, external artwork repair, track and disc metadata recovery, album track sorting, and Mac audio output selection. PhaseShift now recognizes track and disc positions stored in additional metadata forms, including tags used by MP3, FLAC, Ogg Vorbis and DSD files. It also handles values written as pairs, such as track 3 of 9 or disc 1 of 2. Libraries created with an earlier version are checked automatically in the background. Missing track and disc values are restored from the metadata already embedded in your music, so albums can appear in the intended order without requiring another import. A new Recheck Track & Disc Metadata option is available in Settings. Use it whenever you want PhaseShift to scan your library again. Existing values and fields you intentionally edited or cleared are preserved, and your audio files are never modified. Referenced libraries that are temporarily unavailable will be checked after they are reconnected.
