For my line of work everyone always wants to see the before and afters. Phaze takes it a step further and let’s you capture the entire process throughout. It’s a great feature for any project. Phaze is super simple to use and get the hang of. Took me no more then a minute to understand the app. I have used it for quite a few projects and my clients really enjoy seeing the process as well. I have show perspective clients other projects by using Phaze and that is a huge selling point. Pictures are everything, but capturing the process is the real ticket. It is honestly one of the best tools we use for marketing. The app allows you to take multiple progress shots of a project from the same exact angle. Each time you update the project, there is a ghost image that helps you keep all pictures within the same frame. At the end of the project, you have this incredible time lapse from start to finish. Additionally, it keeps a log of the project from video updates, to picture documentation. It is super easy to use and you can have multiple files per project. Chronicling the construction progress is easy and fun with this app! There is no need for fancy cameras. All I have to remember to bring is my phone. I have no use for apps that force you to signup like this. I keep getting error that no accounts available. It prompts me that user name is good but no accounts available. However, I have not been able to use it. I signed up with two different email address and it keeps giving an error message after I input my password. I changed my password 6 times and the same error message keeps popping up. The app also crashes. On iPhone 11 Pro Max. ### 3/5 — Not Owner Builder friendly *2018-10-07, version 2.0* I was super excited to use this app to document my house build. My husband and I are the general contractors and wanted a way to track progress on every aspect of our build. From the exterior to every interior room. I first downloaded the app close to a year a when we started the planning progress and got familiar with it. Now that we’ve staked out the house site, I decided to start documenting FINALLY. Two weeks ago I took our first photos. It was great. Went today and took a second set...then I was prompted to update my app. Big mistake!! Now it’s subscription based?! Now you want me to pay $20 a month to get past taking pictures. I know it’s not a large sum but a house building can take a year...that’s a lot to spend on one little app. I can’t even toggle to the last photo taken for reference, only the silhouette screen (which is amazing, but more detail of the original helps). I know this app is meant for builders and construction businesses, but regular people building and documenting new homes or remodels would love to have access to all the fun little details that drew me in, with costing a ton! I’m disappointed. I’ve been so excited to use this and now it’s just not what I expected. Much appreciated. ### 4/5 — Great Updates from Previous App Builds *2019-01-03, version 2.2* Phaze made some great strides in their updates over the past few months - from UI to responsiveness to upload and update functionality, the app performs at a much higher level compared to some of the earlier builds. Some of the flow and usability could use some love, but overall, great work by the Phaze team in addressing some of the previous issues. Keep up the great work! ### 4/5 — No accounts available *2018-10-28, version 2.01* Great idea however every time I try to set up an account I receive the message “no accounts available”. When will this be fixed? 10/28/18 Update.... Initial problem has been remedied, quickly I might add which is why the rating was bumped from a 1-4. I guess there was a surge in downloads, probably after it appeared on the YouTube “Build” show, as that’s where I saw it. It works now & I have taken my baseline photos. We’ll see how it works when I’m ready to start adding layers of photos. I was away on vacation but felt I was part of the process the entire time! My contractor sent me one link that I could always use to check to see the status of my kitchen. They are able to see the difference and even share it with their friends and family. If you are on Social Media it's a perfect way to share vs having to show simple before and after shots.
