L’application utilisée avant la mise à jour (Dictée au lieu de l’application Speach Live) était parfait. Malheureusement elle n’est plus utilisable et remplacée par celle ci qui a perdu le gros avantage de conserver les fichiers de dictées précédentes. Il faut absolument permettre de conserver les fichiers sur le smartphone (en cas de bug, d’erreur etc…)

Used to be better in the old version!  Now it goes to sleep while I am dictating.  Screen is black but dictation is being taken.  Very annoying - please find a fix for this to keep the app awake.

How to kill an app in one easy swoop.

As a professional I have used the Philips voice recorder app for years. It wasn’t the cheapest but it works and is easy for my PA to pick up the dictations and type. They have now forced all users of that app to move to Speech Live…and it is possibly the worst app I have ever had the misfortune to use. Full of bugs and errors and utterly user unfriendly. Using it costs me more of my time than if I typed out the letters myself. I am cancelling the subscription.

Old app now forces you to use the new buggy version. Much slower. Cannot upload recording once saved as drafts area. FIX IT or let us use the old functional version.

The software seems to solve no problems or at least none that are immediately obvious. Instead it introduces apparently new instructions which are not explained anywhere. There is nowhere on line to find the differences between this new program in the previous program. The previous program worked fine. Stop changing things for the sake of change. I would pay to keep the old one.

Downloaded this app two week ago.  It’s not user friendly nor intuitive.  My second or third dictation couldn’t be uploaded for transcription.  Not sure whether to try another dictation or just hand write instructions to my assistant.  I may just cancel my subscription with Speechlive.

This version of the app is not fit for purpose. 

The last app continued to record when the phone screen locked. This app turns the microphone off when that happens. 

This has a real impact on the legal records kept by me. 

I’ll be reverting g to the old app immediately.

Perhaps I have managed to download a different app entirely but my Philips speech live is a awful experience.
1. While dictating the phone will lock if you’re not looking and then the dictation stops.
2. If you want to insert or alter dictations you can’t- if you can I can’t see how.

All the chat about speech to type- irrelevant if you can do the two things above- record and edit- easily.  And I can’t see how you can do the speech to type anyway.

Speech Live is awful.  If you back up and re-record to fix a mistake or to word a sentence better, it leaves an echo of the earlier transcription. This makes it impossible for the transcriber to create a clean work product.  I’ve used a ton of different dictation programs (and even mini-tapes back in the day). None of them have this issue. This is a disqualifying flaw.  Not sure why anyone would ever want to use this app.

I’ve used this for over a year and when it works it’s OK. This week however there was fatal crash and I have lost hours of work. Phillips appear to regard this as to be expected which is not mentioned when they promote the product. Reliability is critically important but absent from this product.

Weiterhin kein akustisches Feedback oder Vibration, sobald das Diktat gestartet/ gestoppt wird. Zudem ist nicht erkennbar, ob die Diktate bereits fertiggestellt wurden oder sich noch im Eingang befinden. Der Ordner „fertiggestellt“ bleibt stets leer.

Daher weiterhin kaum zu gebrauchen.
