## What is PhiloWelt KI?

The newly developed PhiloWelt app takes your lessons to a whole new level!

Whether in ethics, philosophy, or values education — the app is designed for students from grades 5 to 10 across all school types. Thanks to dynamic learning materials, every lesson is shaped individually — based on the students' own input.

The app is also ideal for international preparatory (newcomer) classes: all content is prepared in a language-sensitive way and is available in German and English — including audio intros, learning texts, tasks, and AI assessments.

CLASS MODE — PHILOSOPHIZING TOGETHER
The teacher creates a digital classroom using a teacher code. Students join with a room code and explore a topic together in four phases:

WARM-UP — An image and an AI-generated audio intro set the mood for the topic. Students type in their first thoughts, which are brought together in real time into one shared guiding question.
LEARNING TEXT — Tailored learning texts introduce the question, show why it mattered in the past and still matters today, and present two opposing lines of thought — adapted to school type and grade level.
TASKS — Three automatically matched tasks at three levels (recall, explain, evaluate) challenge students to think for themselves.
RESULTS — Every answer is assessed — with concrete tips on what to improve. The best answers are celebrated for the class, while all others are shown anonymously — fair and motivating at the same time. On the final attempt, anyone can choose to reveal a model answer. And the best result counts: a new attempt can never lower what has already been achieved.
Ideal for cooperative learning and lively classroom discussions.

DIGITAL CLASS BINDER
All results from class mode are saved automatically in the digital class binder — including learning texts, the students' own answers, and AI assessments. Nothing gets lost.

This version improves Classroom Mode:
Stable discussion question: Once the collection phase ends – either via "Answer" or when time runs out – the last displayed question stays fixed. It no longer changes afterward in the background.
Clear input times: After time runs out, students can no longer submit any entries. Only contributions sent in time are counted.
Corrected info text on the Classroom Mode card for teachers.

**Multilingual Classroom Mode**
Classroom Mode is now fully available in English. When the teacher uses the app in English, all students automatically switch to the same language when they join — including the audio story, learning text, cluster synthesis, and AI assessment.

**Improved Audio Player**
- New replay button in the teacher's player: restart the audio story from the beginning with a single tap.
- The player now stays open after playback ends — the teacher decides when to dismiss the image.

**Show or Hide Initials**
In the teacher monitor, initials from rank 6 onward can now be hidden or revealed with a single tap — perfect for a suspenseful reveal in class. Available in both portrait and landscape.

**Chat-Style Contributions**
Your own contributions appear on the right like in a messenger app, others' on the left — easier to read through long discussions.

**Synchronized Timers**
- Live countdown in the submit button with a fair 30-second warning.
- When the teacher adds time, the warning markers reset cleanly.

**Tablet Layout**
On tablets, cluster cards now appear in two columns — better readability on larger screens.

**Stability & Polish**
- Fixed: "Permission denied" error when leaving the room.
- Consistent button heights and uniform font sizes in the teacher's button bar.
- Header text and timer scale gracefully for long translations instead of overlapping.
- Dialogs and assessment feedback now appear in the selected language.
