The app then made it seem like I didn’t have this and I had to sign up again and pay >$55/yr. I looked at subscriptions and saw I had TWO. Cancelled both and deleted the app ### 4/5 — My go to for pictures *2026-07-08, version 2.1.17* I love the app and it’s my go to for pictures! The quality of pictures and video is beyond other apps. However, there have been soo many bugs with the app recently. It seems like there have been tremendously more since I got an iPhone 17 pro max. I keep everything on auto update so it’s not a version issue. The app has sooo much potential once it’s working consistently! ### 2/5 — Big line across my images *2026-06-05* After I edit any picture a line becomes apparent across the image. This only happens when I edit an image and not when I paste my filters. Please fix this as it makes the app unusable. I’ve experienced a lot of bugs over the years with this app, as soon as one is fixed another comes up. Support@phlowapp.com ### 2/5 — Dark *2026-04-01, version 2.1.7* I have had this app for awhile and LOVED the simplicity of it when it first came out. Now it seems harder to use and every picture I take looks great through the phone, but then the actual picture is super dark. Nothing I do fixes this issue. I just want the original version back. ### 4/5 — Hope this gets to you *2026-03-31* I just want to start by saying how much I genuinely love Phlow. It’s one of the most impressive and innovative photography apps I’ve ever used. The ability to capture high-resolution images while experimenting with different presets that emulate vintage and classic cameras is simply outstanding. On top of that, the level of flexibility the app offers for editing is incredible, it really gives users full creative control over their photos. I’ve recommended Phlow to many friends, and several of them are now using it regularly. They love it just as much as I do, which says a lot about how great the app is. That said, there are a few issues that I believe, if improved, would make the experience even better. Occasionally, the app crashes and closes unexpectedly. Also, when saving edits, the “developing” process sometimes gets stuck and never completes, which can be quite frustrating. In addition, when editing ProRAW Plus photos, the interface often becomes clunky and buggy, which affects the overall usability and makes the editing process less smooth than it should be. Another feature I truly miss is the RAW sharpening tool. It added a level of detail that felt natural and refined, unlike standard sharpening, it enhanced the image without making it look artificial. Bringing this feature back would make a big difference. Overall, FlowApp is already an amazing product. I believe the main focus now should be on consistency and stability, ensuring that everything that already works well continues to work smoothly and reliably. With a few refinements, this app has the potential to be absolutely perfect. ### 3/5 — good filters, lots of bugs *2026-03-18* great selection of filters and sliders however prepare for a lot of bugs that wiped out all my edits in a recent update. just beware when downloading. other than that and the other minor bugs, the app is good. please fix these!! **Developer response:** Hey again! A few things - I’m having to recover my 1.0 photos every single time I go into the app now and the support button that says report a bug or issue, does not let you click on it. I hope this can get sorted! Really don’t want to lose my 1.0’s! Thanks! ### 2/5 — Need lots of bugs to be fixed *2026-01-23, version 2.1.5* Seems like a good idea. Presets looks like any other presets from other apps, nothing special. Film profiles not realistic and have nothing to do with real film like “Ektar” or “Portra” tonality. Noise looks good, and bloom is not bad. But my presets that I saved not working. I saved 3 and I can see them as presets, but they did not change anything. Thanks God it’s 7 days free trial version. Will not comeback to this app until bugs are fixed. I left review for Lumibee app, and thanks to developers they fixed the problems I was talking about. And will say Lumibee developers did by far better research study on how presets “looks like film” should look like. Use them most of the time, and I did donate money to them. So yeah, test your own app and please fix the bugs. ### 2/5 — I’m losing a lot of videos *2026-01-02, version 2.1.5* I want to like this app. I really love the functionality of it, the options when editing and the film filters. The problem is when I shoot videos in the app, if they’re more than 5 seconds long they don’t save. It’s incredibly frustrating ### 3/5 — not reliable 😭 *2025-12-21* i just got back from a trip to iguaçu falls, where i took a boat ride and got soaked under a gigantic waterfall. i really thought i should use the iphone’s camera, but i decided to make it beautiful and stable with phlow instead. unfortunately, maybe because the video was too long, the app crashed and i lost one of the coolest videos from the trip. the app also crashes during routine moments, like switching from photo to video mode. i’ll keep using it for everyday moments—not adventurous or important ones—because the videos look so beautiful. but for special moments, when the memory matters most, i’ll stick to the iphone camera. in case it’s helpful for your support team, i was using the app on an iphone 16 pro max. **Developer response:** UPDATED RESPONSE: Hey! It’s not hating. It’s constructive criticism at best. I based my reviews on facts not feelings. I’m not asking for you to create a BlackMagic Camera clone, I’m simply stating the advertisement of LUTS and Pro features. You never addressed the LUTS, OpenGate or LOG recording. Obviously if I spoke about these things it means I have shot both photos and videos on the app to know the feature doesn’t exist. How would I know to point out about the global exposure slider tool not working like how it should in Adobe Lightroom if I didn’t shoot a photo in the app and edit it to know it doesn’t work correctly? Apply a filter on a video that isn’t in LOG format isn’t the same as shooting in LOG and apply a LUT. You can only push the iPhones video and photo capabilities only so much until it falls apart. It’s like trying to edit a JPEG versus a Raw photo. You make it seem like I’m deliberately attacking your product when reality there’s videos out there where you guys stated on a IG reel saying “it shoots in raw, you don’t need to know what that means”. Shooting in raw and importing it into Adobe Lightroom and applying a preset is way different than shooting in raw and importing into VSCO and applying a filter. You know that. Same goes with videos, shooting in LOG and apply a LUT is completely different from doing so and importing it into an app that overlays a filter. You’ll get different outcomes and your footage and photos will look different. There’s different outputs and color inputs and color fringing etc etc. • Original review: 11-3- 2025 • This app markets itself as an all in one, due it all, “Pro” video and photo camera app. But it leaves a lot to be desired when you use it, especially coming from Pro apps like Lightroom, BlackMagic Camera, etc. There are ALOT of missing “Pro” features. First, video recording is in 1080p and 4K, capped at 30 fps. It’s 2025, our iPhones can now shoot up to 120 fps in OpenGate. No LOG recording option. Marketing photos on the App Store claims “LUTs”, where? I don’t see any option to even shoot in LOG, let alone be able to pick LUTs, there’s none build in. It’s the same photo filters. You can’t import or export any of those “filters” as LUTs. When editing the photos, the editing tools are no accurate at all. The exposure slider does not expose highlights and shadows correctly. Apps like Lightroom and VSCO exposure sliders are way better! This app is market towards Instagramer Influencers who don’t know too much about photography and cinematography and don’t know how to edit like a “Pro”. They do a lot of marketing on Instagram for this app, so I thought I give it a try. There are definitely way better and cheaper options out there for what they want you to pay monthly. You can get an Adobe Photography subscription with Lightroom and Photoshop for $10 a month!! And use apps like Kino, BlackMagic Camera or Moment Camera and VSCO and get more realistic “Pro” results!! Not only are the colors all washed out and messed up but all images taken on the app are blurry and bad quality. Just went to the pumpkin patch and took all of our yearly photos with Phlow just to see after that they are all blurry and ruined. I’m so disappointed. ### 1/5 — New Update is Horrendous
