Ads not only intrude constantly and repetitively, but the app quickly heats up my phone and is a massive power drain to the extent the battery charge quickly plummets. Perhaps it’s better to simply avoid and instead just read/watch their content via Safari. ### 5/5 — Outstanding Photography Content *2023-01-25, version 1.9* The Phoblographer app allows ad-free access to the site’s excellent photography content. Tabbed content sections include news, education, camera, lens, and software reviews, and my favorite section Photography Culture. The best part is that the Phoblographer staff are always updating the content. There’s always something worth reading. It’s absolutely worth the price of the subscription. ### 5/5 — Great Content *2022-11-08, version 1.9* There are great articles, and the app is organized in a way that you can hone in on subjects from the drop down menu - (I’m a fan of Cheap Photo and Photography Culture sections). I bought the paid subscription and felt it was a reasonable price for the quality and quantity of articles tha align with my interests, with the tips, reviews and tutorials. ### 1/5 — Completely buggy app *2022-10-17, version 1.9* This app is so poorly designed. Every time my 14 Pro Max turns on its side the whole app goes blank. You have to go back to the top of feed and refund the article. The adds keep changing every 25 seconds or so which shifts all the text and you continually have to re-find your place in the article. Terrible UI experience. ### 4/5 — Solid Photography Site Better When Paid Subscription *2022-10-12, version 1.9* The app acts a direct feed to the sites content and it’s solid. If you’re not a fan of ads - the paid annual subscription is a small price to pay and you support independent journalism. There are some UI quirks when clicking on images but otherwise a solid app. ### 5/5 — One of my favorite photo blogs! *2022-10-12, version 1.9* Membership is affordable and comes with some great perks, and this app is fantastic without ads! ### 1/5 — Paid for no ads and all i get is ads. This $29 for NO pop up ads is misleading. I want a refund. *2022-09-05, version 1.8* Can’t get a refund as nothing but continuous ads google pop up. I was lied that no pop up.. I purchased the paid subscription, and the $25 annual price is a very small price to pay for viewing ad free. The app is well designed, easy navigation and great reading!
