Even support communicated with me, I haven’t got transparent answer why it happen. But onchain part is crazy - inbound transactions increase liquidity, but outbound transactions decrease, so you loose you expensive channel when you send your stacked sats to the Trezor and have to buy it again. ### 4/5 — LN address *2024-11-03* When LN Address on phoenix wallet? ### 4/5 — Works great with small amount *2024-06-12, version 2.2.5* But with amount more than 100$ you can stuck. You cannot withdraw original bitcoin back seems as soon as 4 month. And not a 1 word about it in description. In the end LN is not bitcoin at all, you just sending btc to another protocol to LN, with good enough commission, than sending LN. I think no need to try, I’ve stuck 600$ cause wallet cannot convert btc and I cannot get it back. It not a scam, but it just not work at all. Update: after 5 month waiting, funds was unlocked by network, app gets update and gets function to get funds back. Leider ist man Kostentechnisch noch diesem einem Channel ausgesetzt und es kommt leider doch sehr oft zu onchain fees. Dem würde Abhilfe geschaffen, wenn man selbst noch Channels zu anderen Nodes eröffnen könnte. ### 2/5 — 20% fees? *2024-03-29, version 2.2.0* While making transactions to a Phoenix wallet from Strike, even the second transaction took 19.4% fee on the receiving end.. How does this make sense? Details: - 1st transaction was 20k satoshi and around 2k fee - 2nd transaction was 18k satoshi and 3.3k fee (19.4%) ! I made my first deposit successfully with no issues whatsoever as a test. I then made my second deposit to the same address and the funds did not arrive. I contacted the support documenting the error fully with all the details. In have spent countless hours trying to recover the funds that are successfully logged on the blockchain but never arrived on the phoenix app. The support continues to be short, dissmissive and even coming across rude, of clear evidence, of what I’m sure is a technical error on their side. I will never use this app again and will be seeking further advise on how to recover the funds that have ‘disappeared’ ### 1/5 — Scam Wallet-British scam *2026-02-21, version 2.7.4* This is not a lightning node wallet where you can make money off of transfers. If you’ve only used a custodial one before, then the experience here is pretty similar, with fees and “what’s going on under the hood” explained well enough that I don’t feel caught out or uncertain, without it being an overly-technical explainer. I’ve used Breez before and found Phoenix works better for me. If you’ve never used Lightning before, then Phoenix is still going to work well for you - it’s well built for a general audience not ‘pros’ only. (Other good options are Breez, Mutiny Wallet (web based) and Zeus) ### 5/5 — Best non-custodial wallet IMHO *2024-02-12, version 2.1.1* Channel splicing is a step towards hiding lightning mechanics from end users, and ability to rent channel liquidity mitigates online fees to some extent.
