Apple store offered a download of latest compatible version. Will update again after another trial run. *original review: It don’t work anymore. Barely does anything. I want to see one, one, sample from my library but the demo doesn’t allow for seeing that. We agree that users should be able to see what Pholorize can do before deciding. In the current version, if you colorize a single photo instead of using batch processing, you can preview the colorized result after processing. Export and some advanced options may require Pro, but you should be able to view the result first. La colorisation par IA peut parfois mal interpréter certaines parties d’une ancienne photo selon l’éclairage, le contraste, les ombres ou l’état de l’image originale. Not great. *2024-12-28* I just started using this app again. And it’s gotten better in the last couple of years. However, whatever the developers did regarding choosing pics, it’s broken. First it asked me to choose Full Access or Limited Access. I chose Limited Access. Then it asked me to choose which pics I wanted to use. I chose 3. Then it showed me a message saying “Limited Access. Please update the allowed photos and choose again”. I tapped on Update Photos, and it takes me back to my photos. I selected the photos, tapped add. And again, got the Limited Access photos. Round and round she goes. Why is it showing me ALL my pics, instead of the ones I just chose. All other apps I have with limited access to photos, NEVER show ALL the photos. Just the ones I chose. So they need to fix this. The one pic that it did manage to keep, it did an ok job on. Not like what Photoshop can do. But in a pinch, it’s decent. Oh, and when I tap on the “Enhance this pic”, the app crashes and quits. La colorisation par IA peut parfois modifier les tons de manière incorrecte selon la qualité de la photo, le contraste, les détails, l’éclairage et l’état de l’image d’origine. Nous continuons à améliorer le rendu des couleurs afin d’obtenir des résultats plus fidèles et plus naturels. ### 1/5 — Not what I expected *2025-11-17* This APP is not what I expected. I have an old 1970's photo that is fading and I wanted to bring it back to life. All it did was blur the jpeople in the photo. Unfortunately, once you subscribe, you have to wait a year before it is cancelled. Another mistake made when dealing with computer APPS. **Developer response:** Hi, thank you for sharing your experience. We’re sorry Pholorize blurred the people in your old photo instead of restoring it as expected. Very faded photos can be challenging for AI restoration, especially when faces, contrast, or fine details are already weak, but the result should still look natural and useful. We’ll keep improving restoration quality for older photos. Also, subscriptions can be canceled anytime through your Apple ID settings; canceling stops the next renewal, while access may remain active until the current subscription period ends. ### 1/5 — Lifetime anbieten - und dann doch ein Monatsabo!? *2025-10-03* Ich weiß ja nicht was genau man damit bezweckt - aber in der App-Beschreibung zu den In-App-Einkäufen steht ein Angebot für Lifetime. Auch wenn man in der App dieses Angebot annehmen will wird es auch angeboten - aber wenn man es anklickt kommt man auf ein Monatsabo für 9,99 Euro … nein Danke. **Developer response:** Hallo, danke für den Hinweis. Das Lifetime-Angebot war früher verfügbar und kann in bestimmten Zeiträumen wieder angeboten werden, ist aber aktuell nicht dauerhaft aktiv. Derzeit sind in der App nur Monats- und Jahresabos verfügbar. Es kann sein, dass frühere oder zeitweise verfügbare In-App-Käufe weiterhin in der App-Store-Übersicht erscheinen, auch wenn sie momentan nicht als aktives Angebot in der App angeboten werden. Pholorize should preserve photo quality as much as possible while colorizing, and we understand how important that is when working with old photo collections.
