Your field executive misled me into buying the PhonePe Speaker by repeatedly saying it was "free" and that I would receive the full R349 back as cashback. Trusting those promises, I made the payment. As soon as the payment was done, the story changed. I was told there was a "technical issue," and the promised cashback never came. The truth is, I never even needed the speaker. I clearly said I wasn't interested, but your executive kept pressuring me until I finally paid 7349 based on false promises. To make things even worse, the speaker has issues, and whenever I try to get support, nobody responds. There is no proper customer service, no resolution, and no accountability. Once the payment is collected, it feels like customers are simply ignored Is this how PhonePe treats its customers? Mislead people into buying products, make false cashback promises, and then stop responding when they need help? This has completely destroyed my trust in PhonePe. I want a proper explanation, a resolution to my issue, and strict action against such misleading sales practices. I expect the PhonePe management to respond instead of ignoring genuine customer complaints. ### 2/5 — Pathetic service. Please look into other service providers. *2026-05-28* It has been over a month I registered here and waiting for an agent to visit my business location. Every fortnight once someone will call asking the location and business details and will tell they ll visit the next day and then thats it, until the next 2 weeks no updates! This has been going on, nobody really cares or wants to work in this team. ### 2/5 — Push notifications *2026-03-14* Over the last few days i have been receiving a lot of push notifications such as network issues or about inactivity. The point is you are literally spamming the feed and annoying the users by sending the same notification every 10 mins which makes no sense. Could be a technical glitch but u should work upon such issues and fix it for once rather continuing the same thing pretending to give a valuable service. Ps: there is no network issue or inactivity from our end. The issue lies at your end so fix it asap and STOP SPAMMING!!! ### 1/5 — Tired of phone pe speaker *2025-08-15* I am writing to raise a serious concern regarding the merchant speaker device linked to my PhonePe Business account. For the past two months, the device has not been functioning—it continuously shows a red light and does not play any sound for incoming transactions. I have contacted your customer support team more than 10 times, and each time I’ve been assured that an expert will visit my shop to resolve the issue. However, only one person visited around a month ago, briefly checked the device, and promised to return the next day. He never came back, and since then, no further support has been provided. This has caused significant inconvenience to my business operations. I'm placing this as my final complaint—if the issue is not resolved within the next few days, I will be forced to switch my business account to Paytm or another service provider. Please treat this as urgent and arrange for immediate action. ### 1/5 — Extremely Disappointed – Poor Service & Unethical Charges *2025-06-26* We have had a terrible experience with the PhonePe Business Merchant App. Their sandbox machine has never worked properly, making it impossible to run test transactions or ensure functionality. Despite raising multiple complaints and requesting unsubscription from the service, our concerns have been completely ignored. To make matters worse, they continue to deduct rental fees from our account even though no service is being provided. Phone calls and follow-ups have gone unanswered — it feels like they are simply stealing money under the guise of a service that doesn’t work. This is not only unprofessional but borders on unethical business practices. We urge others to be cautious before signing up. Until PhonePe addresses these issues and stops charging for non-functional services, we strongly recommend staying away from their merchant platform. ### 1/5 — Silently stealing money *2025-06-03* I've been using the PhonePe POS machine for the past 1.5 years. When the machine was delivered and activated, the executive clearly told me there would be no rental charges. Everything was fine until last month, when I noticed that rental charges were suddenly deducted from my settlement—not just for one month, but for all previous months as well. This was shocking and extremely frustrating. I raised a complaint with customer care. After several follow-ups and missed calls, one executive finally checked my data and admitted that PhonePe had wrongly charged me. He assured me the issue was being escalated and promised to get back to me within 5 days. It’s now well past that, and there has been no response. I have just one question for the PhonePe Merchant Service team:
If I was collecting payments from the very first month, why didn’t you deduct charges back then? Why are you now suddenly deducting rental fees for all the past months without any prior notice or communication? Is this how you treat your customers—by silently stealing money from them? This experience has been very disappointing, and I hope you take proper responsibility and correct the issue. ### 1/5 — Very poor customer support *2025-05-12* The speaker is not working since more than 2 weeks . Every time we have to call to check if on phone transaction is showing. Contacted “ help us” with automated poor responses . No response from people who had come to install phone pay speaker , no resposibility they want to take. Paytm was much much better. Just because of the hoax that Paytm is getting closer we switched to this. They charged us more money saying it’s one time payment but still monthly fees they cut secretly. We are busy in our buisiness with no time to deal with such small amounts but at the end they are not at supportive of the customers ### 1/5 — Don’t use phone pay merchant POS / QR . They are cheating to the merchant customers . *2025-04-03* Worst phone pay business merchant. They are cheating to the merchant customers as giving wrong information about charges and rental. Before taking the POS machine, they said false information As no rental charge with low MDR charges. In future if you return the machine we can get the refund .But, they charge monthly rental and huge MDR charges. So , When I contacted the customer care for cancellation and surrender the machine and refund the amount, they are saying we can’t refund any amount on surrendering the machine . So don’t take POS MACHINE or QR sound box from phone pay merchant . They cheating to the customer. I loosed 2000 rs .Avoid phone pay merchant . ### 4/5 — Great App, But Needs Key Improvements for Reporting & Quick Access *2025-03-16* I've been using the PhonePe Business app for managing my transactions, and overall, I'm very happy with its ease of use and reliability. It's a smooth, well-designed app that makes accepting payments straightforward. The interface is clean, and the core functionality works well. However, there are two features that I absolutely need and that I believe would significantly enhance the app's value for me and many other business owners: 1. Improved Transaction Filtering (Monthly Options): Currently, the filtering options for transactions are quite limited. I really need the ability to filter transactions for a specific month (e.g., "Show me all transactions from July 2024") or to quickly select "Last Month." Trying to find transactions from previous months is currently cumbersome, especially as the number of transactions grows. This is essential for accurate bookkeeping and monthly reporting. 2. iOS Widget for Recent Transactions: An iOS widget showing the last 3-5 transactions of the day would be incredibly useful. It would allow me to quickly glance at my recent sales without having to open the full app. This would save me a lot of time and effort throughout the day, particularly during busy periods. It would provide at-a-glance confirmation of successful payments. Adding these two features would dramatically improve the app's usability and make it a truly indispensable tool for business owners. I'm confident that many other users would find these additions as valuable as I would. I urge the PhonePe Business team to prioritize these improvements in future updates. I believe they would make a 5-star app even better! ### 1/5 — Wrong deduction *2025-02-25* I have raised a complaint for the wrong deduction happened in my phone pe account, they have charged me for the smart speaker service which i am not using. Even after the wrong deduction and the complaint they don’t even contacted me for any kind of support or assistance. Your help bots are not even offering the options that You can raise any query regarding the deduction. They just provide the details that the amount had been deducted for this, but what if i got deducted wrongly ? You have charged me for the services that i am not using and i am not able to raise a valid complaint on this ? Is this a kind of support you are offering to your customers??? I would never recommend any of my business partners to use phone pe over other platforms.
