### 2/5 — Stopped working at iOS 16.5

*2023-05-27, version 4.2.1*

I actually like this app and use it almost every day. But my iPhone updated itself to 16.5 yesterday and the app quit working. Rebooting etc doesn’t help. Too bad.

### 2/5 — Very antiquated

*2022-01-05, version 4.2.1*

Website and app do not work a lot of the time. Cant update any information. Frustrating

### 4/5 — I have used it for years and it works great.

*2021-05-27, version 4.2.1*

I use it on my iPad and I also have it on an old iPhone. I use it every day to screen calls that come in, getting too many Robo calls these days. One feature that I would like is to be able to paste in phone numbers instead of having to key them in one number at a time on the keypad.

### 3/5 — Nice service but...

*2020-12-17, version 4.1.0*

Unable to read the phone book on iOs last version, it was available before.
Please update...

### 3/5 — Very useful when abroad

*2019-10-17, version 4.1.0*

I had to call in my home country from abroad and this app allow me to do it without the contraint of paying high overseas fees. Only one annoying thing, the button are not recognized by all the automatic systems that needs your input to redirect your call to the right option.

### 1/5 — Worst app ever skam

*2019-05-28, version 3.8.6*

Guys please do not trust this company. Even if it works for 1 phone call do not opt in their service paying monthly. It will stop working and they will ask you to pay more to make it active again. They are a skam

### 1/5 — Voicemails no longer play

*2019-05-01, version 3.8.6*

The voicemails no longer play in the app.

### 2/5 — Good app - needs to be updated to work with multiple numbers

*2019-04-20, version 3.8.6*

I love the call quality and experience. It is solid. I can’t give it more than -2 stars because I have 2 phone power numbers on my account and the app only uses the first number on the account. This should be selectable in the app. At the very least, I should be able to designate which number the app will use from my account on the website.

### 3/5 — Won't play voicemail

*2019-01-19, version 3.8.6*

Voice mail blah back appears to be screwed up. The list of voice mail messages shows message length. When I click on the message I want to hear and hit play, it tells me message length is 0. Using on iPad, version 10.3.3

### 1/5 — No longer works 12/19/18

*2018-12-19, version 3.8.6*

Will not ring.

### 4/5 — It served its function well today

*2018-12-13, version 3.8.6*

While there are numerous bugs, and my prior review focused on them, I’m pleased that I was able to place a call today and record it. I really like the ability to pay record calls and certain additional functions that worked today. I guess one could surmise that I felt the power of phone power today.

### 1/5 — Latest version not working

*2018-11-27, version 3.8.6*

Call won’t place out.

### 2/5 — Not reliable

*2018-10-29, version 3.8.6*

Trying to get my phone calls when I am not home, but it is hit and miss.
There doesn’t seem much interest by the developer to improve it!

### 1/5 — Update

*2018-10-22, version 3.8.6*

Only took 3 months to fix the menu bar.....
Now the “delete all” button is gone on the call history.
Come on guys, get it together.

### 2/5 — menu options not visible

*2018-10-16, version 3.7.6*

can only see the menu item that you are currently on in the menu bar. rest of the menu bar is white. have to guess where “keypad”, “voice mail”, “history”, “contacts” and “messages” are.

### 2/5 — PhonePower iOS app is very buggy-cannot answer calls

*2018-07-28, version 3.7.6*

This app works ok about 40% of the time with outgoing calls. Other times, for no reason the Phonepower logo turns red and says "unauthorized" and unable to place outgoing calls even though during these spells, incoming calls seem to be possible.

Been like this for years. Phone is iPhone SE (iPhone 6 group) as of 7/27/18.

### 2/5 — No auto DND

*2018-04-07, version 3.7.6*

Crappy piece of software did NOT adhere to the iPhones System DND settings and woke me up in the middle of the night when some idiot called!! NOT COOL PP!!!

### 2/5 — Nice but

*2018-03-21, version 1.7.3*

Need improvement. Also need iPhone X support.very old design no support at all

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Often doesn’t work

*2025-05-22, version 4.2.1*

There hasn’t been an app update in over three years. The majority of the times we try to call out using the app it won’t connect and doesn’t even ring.

### 1/5 — Run

*2024-01-01, version 4.2.1*

I have been with phone power for a number of years but am now saying good buy, they have blocked my international dialing although I have paid my bill, they have ignored the 4 emails I have sent them asking why , I tried, support, billing, tech and even on their website, I even tried calling but you cant get through, steer well clear of this totally fraudulent company that I did used to rate, absolutely disgusting unprofessional behavior, I cant even call my Mother today to wish her a happy new year, hoping to have anothet phone company later this week

### 1/5 — Potential lost

*2022-09-12, version 4.2.1*

This app feels like an old MS-DOS app running in the world of Windows. Great potential if more work was put into the user interface.

The most glaring missing feature is the lack of a way to silence an incoming call.

The most glaring problem is that some calls will stay incoming forever. One cannot even close the app when it is in this state. The only way I have found to clear it is to reboot my phone.

### 1/5 — Terrible... don't waste your time

*2021-10-01, version 4.2.1*

Been a phone power customer for over 10+ years and managed my 1-Line account online through their website - which needs a major upgrade but generally works. The mobile app is terrible and does NOT reliably interface with your account settings. Don't bother downloading unless you want to be disappointed and frustrated. Deleting the app.

### 1/5 — Broken

*2021-05-31, version 4.2.1*

App was never that great but it did work until this latest update with many ‘fixes’. Now it just crashes upon opening. Great update!

### 1/5 — Bad service

*2021-02-18, version 4.1.0*

Horrible service very choppy, dropped calls, delayed audio 👎

### 1/5 — IOS 14 the contact is not working anymore

*2020-10-08, version 4.1.0*

With IOS14 the contact does not work anymore and this need to be fixed as soon as possible

### 1/5 — PhonePower is a Deceiving company! Look elsewhere!

*2020-06-10, version 4.1.0*

On top of the app not working, PhonePower also tries to deceive its customers from what it charges and advertises. Just keep a tab on the billing. Look for another trustworthy VOIP provider. There are many better options out there!

### 1/5 — Can’t receive phone calls anymore

*2020-02-14, version 4.1.0*

I’ve been using PhonePower app for years. I love it since I don’t have to give out my forever-changing cell phone number. I can just give people my PhonePower number. But, I haven’t been able to receive any phone calls for about two weeks. What’s going on?

### 1/5 — Works on only one of my 4 lines??!!

*2019-09-30, version 4.1.0*

There appears to be no way to set up this app to make or receive phone calls from any of my additional three lines.
Others have reported this, but they haven’t fixed it, so the app is essentially useless if you have more than one PhonePower line.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — 10 year customer here

*2021-03-08, version 4.1.0*

Been with Phone Power a long time. I only have one line s I am a home user of VOIP. One of my cordless phones died the other day, so today I decided to check this app out with my hand-me-down iPhone 5s today. I have Comcast Starter, which is 25Mbps/3Mbps. I just finished testing a few incoming/outgoing calls and everything is working great. Instead of buying batteries for the 2nd cordless handset, I will put this iPhone in the other room and use it.

### 5/5 — Yay!! The incoming calls are working again!!

*2019-01-28, version 3.8.6*

Yay! The incoming calls are working again!!
Starting today, Jan. 28th, 2019 around 3 pm. The incoming calls are back!
Thanks so much!!!

### 5/5 — Bad

*2017-05-06, version 1.7.3*

This app doesn't support iPhone 7 properly. This app working via wifi not 3G.

### 5/5 — App on iPad mini cellular

*2016-10-01, version 1.4*

Works fine so far in background or locked. iOS9. Five stars for now.

### 5/5 — Does what it is designed to do

*2016-08-19, version 1.4*

This review pertains to version 1.4. The interface is slick and easy to use. The call quality over Wi-Fi is excellent. 3G calling not so good but 4G LTE is as good as Wi-Fi.

### 5/5 — Huge improvement over previous app

*2015-12-23, version 1.4*

Works great! The previous app used to check voicemails barely worked. This new app is a huge improvement in all areas (UI, phone calls, settings, and voicemails).

### 5/5 — Works. Still needs a tweeting

*2015-08-27, version 1.3*

I have to remember to go airplane mode when in a WiFi area. It's about 3 ring from lock screen to answer. But it's cool for free calls over WiFi on the iPad it's a blessing when sitting back

### 5/5 — Worked out great with this updated app

*2015-03-28, version 1.1*

So great to see it works again!

### 5/5 — So Relieved to see this App Updated

*2015-03-16, version 1.1*

The original app stopped working with iOS 8 update which rendered it useless. This update as well as the separate voicemail app were welcoming. So far I'm very pleased with everything. Everything has been working great. Check out all the menus and options. I would've liked to see text messaging. However after being without a Phone Power app that worked for 6 months I'm just pleased to have a working app. I hope now Phone Power will keep a team working on their apps to keep up with future iOS upgrades.

### 5/5 — Much better than old app!

*2015-03-13, version 1.1*

The phone power app available several months ago was buggy and essentially useless. I just downloaded this new apparently total rewrite. At first blush it looks really good! We'll see if it continues to perform well.
