## What is Phonics Rules?

For children who are dyslexic, it is very important to teach them all of the sounds and rules in a very structured, cumulative manner (this is known as the Orton-Gillingham approach). One of our phonics rules (in the English language) is when the letter 'c' has the /s/ sound. This only happens when the letter 'c' is followed by an 'e', 'i' or 'y'. 

When reading a word, such as "accelerate", it is important to know that the first 'c' says /k/, but the second 'c' says /s/. Students should be taught to always take note of any letter that follows a 'c'.

This app will give a brief lesson on this rule, with a quiz to follow, and then offer three activities regarding this rule.

Not worth it. The whole app just has one rule for the "c", and nothing and it cost $2 for just one rule.

**Developer response:** I'm sorry you feel you didn't get your money's worth with our 'c' as /s/ app. It is true that the app only covers one rule, which is the title of the app. Since the full app has no advertisements and contains three activities with a video of the rule and a quiz, we felt asking $1.99 was fair.

Sounds doesn't work. Seems unedited/untested, which is true of Blast Off books as well. Disappointed!

**Developer response:** All of our latest app releases remind the user to unmute their device and to make sure the ringer is on.  This was the cause of all of the sound issues that were reported to us. If your sound still does not work, please contact us so that we can fix it.
