## What is Phonography?

Listen more closely to the world around you.

This app is a field recording app designed to help you easily capture everyday sounds and preserve the memory of each moment. Record the sounds of wind, birds, rain, rivers, distant traffic, or the atmosphere of a city street—along with the context that makes each recording meaningful.

In addition to audio, you can save the date and time, location, title, notes, and photos together with each recording. By keeping all of this information in one place, you can look back later and remember not only what you heard, but also where you were, what you noticed, and how the moment felt.

The app also lets you map your recordings using the location data automatically captured when you record. Sounds collected during a walk, on a trip, or throughout the changing seasons can be displayed on a map, allowing you to create your own personal sound map.
