## What is Photo Club Hub?

This app showcases photos made by amateur photography clubs.

It serves as a permanent online exposition that aims to cover numerous clubs. Clubs can be found by browsing, searching, and via built-in interactive maps. Club members can be found by name, keyword, or club affiliation.

Clubs can add themselves by making their membership list and links to their photos available online. These online JSON files can also be used to generate portfolio pages for existing club web sites. The app is open source.

### 3.0.1 — 2026-08-28

After last time's less visible internal changes, 3.0.1 does have visible changes:

CLUBS TAB CLARITY
• Club names stand out better against the background.

EMPTY TABS NOW EXPLAIN WHAT'S GOING ON
• While the app is loading data for the first time, it shows a spinner. Sometimes a new
  release also force-clears the data (as in this release, so you may well see that spinner briefly!).
• Whenever the Clubs, Maps or People tab has nothing to show, it now provides a custom hint
  explaining how to get back to a non-empty list.
• Pulling down to refresh a list no longer briefly flashes a message at you.

SETTINGS
• Even more version details in the iOS Settings app. Mainly used when the software 
   folks themselves get confused.

### 3.0.0 — 2026-08-21

The jump from version 2.10 to 3.0 hints at major improvements for the user. 
The changes are big, but - apart from some fixed bugs - will only have impact in the long run. Bummer.

### 2.10.0 — 2026-07-24

• Navigation is now a set of tabs with fresh icons and simpler screen names — "Maps", "Clubs", "People", and "Settings". Now your favorite screens are always one tap away.
• "Search" on the People screen now hides clubs with zero matching members. In response to community requests.
• Don't forget the guide: timely tips appear during your first few uses to point out what's new.

### 2.9.3 — 2026-05-14

What’s New in 2.9.3

• Put a face to the name: You can now see photographer portraits in thumbnails (for clubs that provide them).
• Your choice: Pick whether thumbnails show a portrait or a portfolio image by default — and tap to switch anytime.
• Little touches: Smoother navigation and small fixes to keep everything feeling crisp.

### 2.9.2 — 2026-03-01

ORGANIZATIONS SCREEN

• The XampleMin/XampleMax example clubs were renamed to TemplateMin/TemplateMax to stress what their role is.

PREFERENCES SCREEN

• Rename `Include test clubs` to `Include template clubs` (the file and club names changed).
• Shortened list of available highlight colors (hiding semi-translucent colors).

DATA MAINTENANCE

• Added new expertise tag for "Motorsport" (car and motorcycle racing).
• Forced a data reset with `dataResetPending292b4657` (related to `TemplateMin/Max` and `fcVeghel`).

CODE MAINTENANCE

• Fixed: crash if a required JSON file cannot be downloaded from GitHub. This can happen when data files are renamed.
• Removed `UrlComponents.swift` as it no longer used.
• Switched from SemanticColorPicker 1.0 to 2.0.
• Tested with early versions of 26.4.software.

DOCUMENTATION MAINTENANCE

• The instruction files referencing XampleMin/Max now reference TemplateMin/TemplateMax.
• Updated FotoclubHubIntro_NL.ppt to introduce nested Level 2 files.

This build #4657 was made using Xcode 26.3 and is intended for the App Store.
Amount of lines of code and data changed since previous release: 476 additions and 441 deletions in 38 files.
