I’m hoping to make a few suggestions as I would love to keep using this platform for my tree. 1. Adding a wedding date or year to married couples 2. Adding remarried spouses. For couples who have remarried after divorce and have kids with two different people. 3. Add a non photo option. To be able to add a name of someone you don’t have a photo of. 4. Most importantly, to sign in on an apple device not registered to you. To allow other family members to contribute to the tree. It’s hard because I only have my phone and everyone has to send photos to me. My husband can’t even log in on his phone 5. Fix the iPad version. There is not a way to edit or view the full tree. Pretty frustrating when I want to show my family tree and I can’t display it on a big screen that’s interactive. . Thanks! I would love to see these changes overtime as the app is very user friendly. ### 5/5 — Difficult to learn *2021-12-28, version 2.0* This app puzzles me many times. It is difficult to remove a person you think is in the wrong place. The information is correct in the history but wrong elsewhere. I think I may have another program of Family Tree from the past. It has to have a face to upload *2022-03-28, version 2.0* Update: app requires facial scan. Stay away. Developer responded saying the app is only made for family trees. I found a better app called Quick Family tree that doesn’t require facial scan and you can upload photos Im working on pedigrees and when I upload photo, the app wants to scan for a face. If there is no face , it won’t upload. This is weird to me and I shouldn’t have to have a face scanned. I’m doing this to manage horse pedigrees and I can’t with this app. Seems like they’re tracking faces to me. Stay away. ### 1/5 — Unrelenting request for ratings within 15 minutes of first use. *2020-12-29, version 1.1* I had to give a rating to halt the interruptions asking for a rating. Having just downloaded and starting to use this app, I have no idea what I really think of it. I just know the experience is starting poorly. Can we hold off the begging for approval for at least 48 hours? One week would be better if you really want feedback based on the product. **Developer response:** Sorry about this. Once you create a tree of just your parents, spouse, siblings and kids the app starts shrinking everything incredibly after you’ve added cousins, aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents, etc. God forbid you add your spouses tree to the mix, everything is already minuscule. You’re not permitted to make separate tree for your spouse or take separate app approved pictures of different branches of the tree you’ve made. Please reach out to support@photomyne.com. ### 2/5 — Not helpful- no half siblings or step parents *2020-12-27, version 1.1* I downloaded this app to try and make sense of my family since I’m adopted but it won’t allow me to edit complex relationships like step siblings or half cousins etc. it’s showing me as similar to a step parent and we are not related at all. Can you add the ability to put in divorced spouses and the ability to add in additional spouses (re-marries, etc) 2) I have sooooooooo many photos in my phone that while using this app, I cannot search them my name, as I have my people labeled in Photos. It might get unwieldy for a very large genealogy though! One thing that would boost the rating from me would be the ability to place/reorder the images in order of birth date. Like for my sisters and brother, uncles and aunts, so forth. But, when I tried, it wouldn’t allow me to get past that circle of me. I love how it’s shows many people at once. Although while putting in photos the app doesn’t perfectly put it into place, I think this should be modified by the person. By link i mean show me people with a person(s) on my tree & allow our trees to connect those branches making our respective trees bigger. I had a fun time sitting down with my family and figuring out my entire family tree, plus it’s free. I only have 2 suggestions: - My family want to see the tree we made and I don’t think there’s a feature to share the tree with others. I’m not sure how that would work but if it could be implemented I’d appreciate that a lot - I wish there was a setting to put a bio for my family members. Today I heard a lot of great stories abt my ancestors and I wish I could add them to the tree to I can look back and see their accomplishments, when they immigrated, and who they were as a person rather than just a name on a complicated web of people **Developer response:** Thank you for reaching out to us and for your suggestions! Especially considering how common divorce is, that seems a glaring omission. I would gladly pay to use premium if that were an option. Update: There’s a way to do this!
