## What is Photo Find?

Photo Find points you to the location where a photo was taken.

Take photos of anything in the Camera app to mark a spot, and navigate back later.

Follow the arrow on foot, or see the photo’s location on a map.

Use Photo Find to:
- Hike back to your favorite camping or hunting spot
- Find your car using a photo when you can’t remember where you’ve parked
- Meet up with a friend based on a photo he or she sent you
- Take the scenic route. Drive by direction instead of turn-by-turn
- Relive memories in the context of your current surroundings
- Have a photo scavenger hunt with friends

How to use:
1) Open the app
2) Paste a photo from the clipboard or select one from your library
3) If the photo has location information, you will see an arrow pointing to the location where the photo was taken.
4) Go in the direction the arrow is pointing. The distance will count down as you approach your destination.
5) Tap the button next to the distance to open the photo location on a map or copy the coordinates.

If you have a photo in another app, tap the share button, then use the Navigate in Photo Find extension to quickly open it in Photo Find and start navigating. Rearrange your actions in the menu to keep it at the top so you can always open photos in Photo Find quickly and easily.

Keep in mind this app only works with photos that have EXIF location data. Not all apps save location data with photos, and the Camera app will only save location data if you have granted it access to your location.

This app also relies on the accuracy of your device’s GPS and compass sensors, as well as the accuracy of location and altitude data when the photo was taken. There can be significant error in all these measurements, so accuracy of the app is limited by these factors. Photo Find works best for navigating outdoors to photos that were taken outdoors with good GPS reception.

2025年のレビューです。アプリは落ちることも無く、共有メニューからアップルマップやGoogleマップと連携ができます。
日本語対応はされていませんが、シンプルなデザインなので、普段スマホを使っている方でしたら戸惑うことは少ないと思います。

**Developer response:** Hello! The units are based on the region set on your device. I have also added an option in the newest version so you can override the region and always show in either miles or km.

Great app! Very accurate. One wish — after I select a photo and view its map location, return me to that same photo in my photo library; don’t send me back to my most recent photo. When viewing locations of photos taken on a weeks trip for example, I must scroll, scroll, scroll to get back to a photo that may be beside the one I just looked at.

**Developer response:** Thanks for the suggestion! For privacy reasons, the photo selection part is handled by iOS, so I do not have any control over that screen or a way to start it at a specific photo without re-creating that whole screen and requiring that the app have access to all photos.

As a workaround you could browse in the Photos app, and then use the Navigate in Photo Find action to open the photo right in the app from there. That way, you can continue where you left off in your photo browsing.

Would be great if distance could be changed. No possibility to turn kilometers on. My phone indeed is set to US even though I am not there all the time. It still would help to be able to change

**Developer response:** Hello! It’s based on the region settings of your iPhone. If your phone is set to a region that uses km it will display the distance in km. In the newest update I’ve also added a setting that allows you to override your selected region and always show in miles or always show in km.

It doesn’t work every time I try it it says no location find so don’t waste your time

Maybe if you can add the garmib navi it will be a good ad.
