Import with confidence
• Verified import checks that every item is safely copied before you choose whether to remove the original from Photos.
• Duplicate protection avoids unnecessary copies and preserves favorites.
• Organize your library with albums and favorites.

Protection for real-life situations
• Unlock with a PIN, Face ID or Touch ID.
• Set a decoy PIN that opens a separate, harmless vault.
• Disguise the app with alternate icons, including a calculator-style icon.
• Lock instantly by placing the phone face down.
• Review failed unlock attempts and, with permission, capture an intruder photo and location.

Backup and recovery
Optional cloud backup and restore help protect important memories. Backup Health shows what is protected, what is waiting, and whether your library is ready to restore. Browse cloud items and recover recently deleted content from Trash. Cloud features require an account and internet connection.

Private browser
Browse with multiple tabs and bookmarks. Browser history, cookies and downloads stay inside Private and can be cleared. Save supported downloads directly to your vault.

Private also supports appearance settings and an Apple Watch companion where available.

Optional Premium may unlock expanded cloud capacity, automatic backup, longer Trash recovery, the decoy vault, alternate icons, intruder protection, the private browser, export features and an ad-free experience. Available products, prices and trial eligibility are shown in the App Store purchase screen and may vary by region. Your local content remains yours.

Subscription information
Private Premium may be offered as weekly, monthly, or annual auto-renewing subscriptions. A one-time lifetime purchase may also be available. The exact product, duration, localized price, and any trial eligibility are shown before purchase. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. A subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before that period ends.
