My phone takes more clear photos of my old pics. And the AI aspect did not help any of my pics unfortunately. It is creepy. It changes my loved ones eyes and faces. You cannot restore a photo in black and white, it automatically colorises black and white photos which looks awful. Not user friendly, it’s hard to choose any options when restoring. However, Photomyne immediately removed my Pro access and downgraded me to the free plan. Counselling renewal should not terminate an active trial that Apple still shows as active. Disappears inconsistent with Apple’s App Store subscription rules, and is very misleading to app users. EDIT: Photomyne responded in the most scammiest way. They call it a trial but you must wait until the very last minute to keep all features, because you lost them all if you unsubscribe. I’ve never seen an app or developer work this way in the Apple ecosystem, there’s no way they’re allowed to do this. ### 1/5 — Paid subscription means nothing *2026-08-18, version 35.2* I downloaded this app, thinking I could restore photos. I am in the trial period, but had every intention of subscribing once the trial had finished. Unfortunately, all this app allows me to do is sharpen faces and colourise black and white photos. For anything else, you have to buy Google AI credits. What is the point of paying for a one or two year subscription if you are limited in what you can do on the app? I will cancel my upcoming paid subscription at the end of the trial. ### 1/5 — Terrible work flow, unintuitive *2026-08-18, version 35.2* The app adequately scanned photos and showed them in the app, but importing images to my computer was extraordinarily difficult. The menus were hard to find, and at one point I was instructed to scan a QR code generated from a menu that did not exist on my Safari browser. I finally got an image that was just 900 kb or so, nowhere near what I need.
