## What is Photo Vault by Pixo?

Pixo is a private vault for the photos, videos and documents you don't want anyone else to see.

Hide media from your gallery in one tap. Everything you add is moved into a private, passcode-protected vault on your device — it never appears in your normal photo library again.

WHY PIXO
• Private vault — photos, videos, audio and documents in one secure place
• 6-digit passcode + Face ID / Touch ID unlock
• Calculator disguise (optional) — the app can look like a working calculator; type your PIN on the keypad to open your vault
• Works offline — add and organise instantly, with no internet needed
• Automatic encrypted cloud backup, so you never lose anything
• Albums, favourites and search to keep everything organised
• Private browser for browsing without leaving history in your main browser

HOW IT WORKS
1. Create your account and choose a 6-digit vault passcode
2. Tap + to pick photos or videos — they're moved into your vault
3. Delete the originals from your gallery when prompted
4. Unlock any time with your passcode or Face ID

PIXO PRO
Upgrade for unlimited vault storage. Free accounts include a generous storage allowance so you can try everything first.

YOUR PRIVACY
Your vault is protected by your own passcode. Files live in the app's private storage on your device and are backed up over an encrypted connection. Deleting your account removes your data from your device and our servers.

PIXO PRO SUBSCRIPTION
Pixo Pro is an auto-renewable monthly subscription that unlocks unlimited vault storage. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase, and the price is shown in the app before you confirm. The subscription renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends. You can manage or cancel it any time in your Apple ID settings.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.2.4 — 2026-10-26

• Backups that stopped with "database is locked" or "internal" now finish: the phone's local database no longer trips over itself, and photos you moved to Trash (or restored) sync to the cloud again.
• Photos the app had given up on ("file missing" after an iOS update) are checked again and backed up.
• A permission or sign-in hiccup no longer parks a photo for good — it is retried automatically.
• Android: after allowing photo access in Settings, the picker refreshes by itself.

### 1.2.3 — 2026-10-23

• Photos shared into Pixo from the Photos app no longer show as grey boxes — existing ones fix themselves when you open your vault.
• Save copy from the photo viewer works again on iPhone.
• If photo access was denied, Pixo now shows an Open Settings button.
• Smaller fixes.

### 1.2.2 — 2026-10-19

• Hide first, sign up later: start your vault without an account.
• Share photos and videos to Pixo from other apps.
• Private camera and document scanner: shots go straight into your vault, never your camera roll.
• Shake to lock.
• PDFs and documents open inside Pixo.
• Duplicate photos are spotted and skipped.
• Fixes photos and videos that could show blank after an update.
• Locking now covers every screen, plus many smaller fixes.

### 1.2.1 — 2026-10-12

• Smoother and faster on phones with less memory.
• Fixes a crash that could happen after rating the app.
• Your first photo: the hide flow now opens by itself right after you create your vault.
• Clearer backup status and smaller fixes.

### 1.2.0 — 2026-10-07

• Try Pixo before you sign up: explore the vault, then create your account when you hide your first photo.
• Clearer backup status, with details when an item can't be backed up.
• Faster, more reliable backups.
• Free plan: a short ad may play before a hide. Pixo Pro removes ads.
• Bug fixes and performance improvements.
