Weave Vault is a hidden photo vault for iPhone and iPad. Hide photos, hide videos, and lock private documents behind a pattern only you know — encrypted on your device, with no account to create. Draw a pattern. That pattern is the key. PATTERN LOCK Draw at least six dots on a 5×5 grid to open your vault. The pattern is never stored — not even as a hash. It is used only to derive an encryption key, in memory, on your device. Nothing to type, nothing to shoulder-surf. DIFFERENT PATTERNS OPEN DIFFERENT VAULTS Every pattern opens its own vault. Draw one, get one gallery. Draw another, get a different one. What is in one vault is not reachable from another, and the app never tells you a pattern was wrong — it simply opens whatever that pattern opens. YOUR ENCRYPTED PHOTO GALLERY • Hide photos and videos in a secure folder, out of your camera roll • Browse a private photo album — swipe, zoom and play video like the Photos app • Organize inside a vault with secret folders — trips, documents, whatever you like • Import from Photos or Files, or shoot straight into the vault with the built-in camera • Keep private documents encrypted too — IDs, passports, bank cards, PDFs • Light, dark, or system appearance REAL ENCRYPTION, NOT JUST A GALLERY LOCK Most photo locker apps hide files behind a passcode screen and leave the files themselves readable. Weave Vault encrypts the file: • AES-256-GCM for every photo, video and file • Argon2id to derive your key from your pattern • HKDF for per-item keys • Encrypted metadata and encrypted thumbnails Standard, peer-reviewed cryptography from Apple's CryptoKit and libsodium. Nothing home-grown. A WAY BACK IN Forget your pattern and a 12-word recovery phrase — shown once, when you create the vault — restores access. Write it down and keep it safe. It is the only spare key, and we do not have a copy. ENCRYPTED BACKUP (FREE) Optional and off by default. Your vault is encrypted before it leaves the device and stays encrypted in your own iCloud. Restore it on a new iPhone with your pattern or recovery phrase. Treat it as device-loss insurance. SHARE A VAULT (PRO) Send an encrypted copy of a vault to someone you trust. They open it with a phrase you give them — no account required, and receiving is always free. Every share carries an expiry you choose, from one hour to thirty days, and you can revoke it early. It is a point-in-time copy: anything you add afterwards is not included.
