### 1/5 — Really not very good at all.

*2020-01-22, version 1.0.0*

Based on the description it seemed like there was some potential, but it is very finicky with what it accepts as 3D and what it doesn’t, and the end results is flat mixed with broken up layers. All you can do is swipe it left and right. There is no zoom, there’s just a depth slider that lets you control the terrible depth data layers distance from each other. Also, there’s no way to save the image, and if you accidentally tap the screen, it goes back to the camera mode. Not recommended for any use unfortunately.

**Developer response:** Generation of the 3D image is dependent on the iPhone building a depth map during the capture. For the rear dual-cameras, this is best done between 4 and 8 feet from the subject and in good lighting. The tri-cameras are better at generating the depth maps, since they work on 2 axes. The front TrueDepth camera works best beyond about 2ft/.7m. This app works in the same manner as Portrait Mode in the Photo app. Any portrait photos in your Camera Roll with a good amount of depth will import well.

All of your concerns regarding the interface have been addressed in newer releases: swiping, zooming, depth, saving, and returning to camera capture.
