In my opinion the update in early November 2025 reduces its functionality and is a step backwards. It uses the inherent date for the photo stamp so it adds the date it was actually taken. Unfortunately you cannot add a caption like on other apps. This would be a huge plus. It also does not save to your camera roll. It saves to another folder.
