## What is PhotoHint?

Take better photos without learning photography. PhotoHint stands next to you like a photographer friend and tells you where to stand, how high to hold your phone and which way to turn so the light is right — one calm tip at a time, with an arrow you can follow without reading a word.

"Crouch down a bit — their legs will look longer."
"The light's behind them — step around so it lands on their face."
"Stretch your arm out — up close, phones make noses look bigger."

PICK WHAT YOU'RE PHOTOGRAPHING
• A face — camera at their eye level, light on their face, eyes in the right place
• Head to toe — the height that makes legs look long, room under their feet
• A thing — straight over the top or down at its level, never the accidental half-lean
• A view — phone on its side, nothing leaning, the horizon out of the middle

SHOWS YOU HOW FAR, NOT JUST WHICH WAY
Arrows point where to move. When you need to tip or twist the phone, a bar slides into place and turns green the moment you're there.

SELFIES TOO
Flip to the front camera and the coaching changes with it.

FULL CAMERA CONTROLS — FREE
Flash, zoom, tap to focus, brightness, grid, self-timer, 4:3 / 16:9 / 1:1 and front or back camera.

FREE TO TRY, ONE PAYMENT TO KEEP
Your first three photos are free. PhotoHint Pro is a one-time purchase — no subscription — that removes the limit, takes the shot for you the moment everything is right, and adds AI-written tips tailored to how you're holding the phone.

PRIVATE
Your photos never leave your phone. The camera coaching runs on your device. Pro's AI tips send only a short text description of the moment — never an image — and no account is needed.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.6.0 — 2026-10-24

If you've used your free photos, PhotoHint can now send you an occasional photo tip and a reminder about Pro. You decide whether to allow notifications, and they stop as soon as you go Pro.

### 1.5.1 — 2026-10-24

The camera now comes straight back when you return to the app, instead of staying dark after you switch away.

### 1.5 — 2026-10-24

• The camera now outlines the person you're photographing, and turns green with a gentle tap the moment the shot is ready.
• Head to toe reads the whole body, so heads and feet stop getting cut off.
• Calmer coaching: once you fix something, it gives you a moment before the next tip.
• Opens straight into the camera. Swipe to switch between a face, head to toe, a thing and a view.
• Remembers your last mode and camera, so selfies are one tap away.

### 1.4 — 2026-10-22

• Shooting from below someone is now caught properly on iPhone — the app tells you to come up, not go lower.
• A new guide shows exactly how far to tip or twist the phone, and turns green when you're there.
• Selfies get their own coaching.
• "A view" works with the phone on its side, and everything on screen turns with it.
• Better horizon finding for landscapes.
• Pro: occasional AI-written tips tailored to how you're holding the phone.

### 1.3 — 2026-09-19

- new metadata info
- AI used for photos
- improved functionality
