Not easy as well .. the app tells this after u make the payment ### 4/5 — Almost Great *2026-03-29* This is a great slideshow program. It’s what I’ve been needing for some time, given how poorly the Apple Photos slideshow works for iPad. My only complaint is, once the slideshow starts, I cannot stop it unless I exit the program completely. I would rather not do that. I would prefer for the controls to show up once I tap the screen and see a control for pausing. That doesn’t appear. Instead, all I see on the far left is an arrow allowing me to exit the slideshow, and on the right, there is a button to airplay it, another button to share, a “like” button, and an “info” button. That’s it. There is no control allowing me to merely pause it so that I can resume from where I left off. If the app had that, I would give it 5 stars instead of 4. ### 4/5 — Great app to display photos *2026-03-16, version 1.2.20260205* This app is just what I was looking for but… I would have given it 5/5 if I could have connected it to my Immich server instead of a cloud service. I am happy with my purchased upgrades to make it “just work”. It does just about what any logical person would want out of a slideshow app, something that is crazy that Apple or Google could not come up with. Unfortunately due to the companies’ terms you cant sync GPhotos anymore but this works well with Shared Albums, shuffling, photos AND videos, the only thing I’m looking out for next for features is adding dates and album names into the slideshow, and if it plays the entire video length instead of snippets. ### 5/5 — Wow. This problem has been happening for years. I finally broke down and found Pixfolio. It plays my iCloud Photos without skipping a beat and I have thousands and thousands. You state your app can show Google photos as a slideshow. You fail to mention that Google restricts you from doing that directly. The user has to download photos back to device to use your slideshow function. This requires me to undo saving photos to Google photos and thus taking up space on my device, which is the entire point of using Google photos in the Google photos cloud. I get that you have no control over new Google restrictions, yet you have a responsibility to reveal those new restrictions that changed in March of 2025. I thought I had a pretty simple and reasonable set of requirements for a slideshow app, but never found any app besides Pixfolio that does *all* of them. The developer is good on communication, too. It's exactly what I wanted for using my old iPad as a photo frame. SO worth the price. I sent an email to the developer with a question and they answered almost too quickly. (Within 15 minutes). Here’s a couple of tips. I was pointing it at all of my shared albums and it was showing the photos in random order. To change that: go into the app settings > slideshow > turn off "randomize multiple albums”. I couldn’t figure out how to show the photo info, like when it was taken. What seems simple, few developers get right. All I wanted was a basic slideshow that would 1) Display EVERY image in the folder or album 2) Show the image as the FULL RESOLUTION of the original image 3) Be able to control the amount of time between slides 4) Set a simple transition between slides. I tried, on and off, for years to use AppleTVs built in Slideshow feature but it would NEVER display every image in the album, it did display full resolution. Other digital picture frame apps I tested will NOT show the FULL RESOLUTION of the original image, even when you alter the settings for high resolution they don’t show the full resolution 4:4:4 Chroma Subsampling that PixFolio is capable of showing. It matters, PixFolio images are super sharp, with close up detail. The interface could be improved, feels redundant, a bit confusing, but it works and gets the job done.
