Love the idea of it and the pictures look great but there’s no way to delete photos from the app or website. The UX is so poorly designed it’s pretty much unusable. I see there have been the same issues for a decade while scrolling other reviews. Unfortunate. ### 2/5 — Needs work *2024-01-28* I don’t own the frame, I use this app to send photos of my kids to their grandparents’ frame. Two features are badly needed: 1) I need to see what photos I’ve already sent to their frame. 2) I need a fullscreen view of the photos as I’m selecting them. I can’t always see which photo I want from the thumbnail. iOS does this perfectly when you hit the share button from a photo. ### 2/5 — Eh :/ *2020-12-28* They only allow a select few of my entire photo gallery to choose from. So if I want to add a photo or video from the earliest memories of my phone, I can’t. It also doesn’t load all the photos/videos I try to upload, even after saying they were uploaded successfully. Not sure how we’re expected to use the frame when the companion app doesn’t work 90% of the time. Also, picture management is terrible on the app. After uploading you can only manage your picture on the frame. Seriously, find another digital photo frame that will actually allow you to upload and enjoy your photos. Super frustrating and the online guidance is pitiful and just avoids customers with issues (comments closed, manual upload instructions that don’t work, no recent troubleshooting advice, etc) - you’re really on your own with this one if you get this frame. ### 1/5 — Don’t buy this product *2019-12-26, version 1.76* The frame has only gotten the photos we uploaded once. The email verification should take me back to the app to continue my sign up experience. My first go at uploading pics crashed the app. Second attempt seemed to work but how would I know as a family member uploading to a device. Our use case is as a purchase for our grandmother who isn’t technically savvy and family around the US uploads pics on the app to propagate to the device. As a user uploading without the device in hand, I would like a success notification for the number of pics I uploaded. Additionally I would like to see which pics I uploaded so I don’t upload the same ones twice. Great idea. ### 2/5 — Please fix for iOS 13!!! *2019-09-27* Good- Amazing customer service. Sent an email for help got a response within 20 minutes (probably less but I just didn’t see it.) They explained everything easily. Up until my iPhone recents update the app worked PERFECTLY!!But I blame Apple more than PhotoSpring since many of my apps have crashed. Bad- Until the day I updated my iPhone the app worked perfectly. Afterward like many apps it stopped working. Once that gets fixed I will happily change my review to a 5 ⭐️ Your friends can still send you photos but it’s so complicated they just don’t want to. I bought this for my mom as a Mother’s Day gift. She loved it so much she bought my sister and I each one since we don’t see each other very often. Great investment!!! You create a playlist but when you go to upload photos to a frame and want to upload to the existing playlist, you can’t see the playlist. The app design and layout is incredibly basic. Everyone in my family downloaded the app de we can send him photos. The app works for everyone who has an iPhone 12 or older, but does not work for iPhone 13s. Should be able to manage all functions of the frame from the app. You can’t. Fix it people. It’s really easy to add pictures. Awesome really!! But would REALLY appreciate the ability to delete pictures off the frame from the app itself. That way I can truly manage the frame for my family and not have to ask them to delete pictures. ### 4/5 — Please fix FB photo sharing *2021-01-24* I like the app, and have had no issues using it on my iPhone. However, there must’ve been a recent update that changed some thing because Can no longer send a photo to a photo frame from Facebook using the “share“ option. I click “share” from a photo, then select PhotoSpring, then select the frame, and then upload – – all I get is the spinning wheel. And then when I try to cancel the upload, I also get the spinning wheel, and it stays that way. The only way to get out of it is to force close FB. Please fix this very much used functionality!! ### 3/5 — Great frame, decent app. *2022-01-24* I haven’t had any problems with the app; however I would like to suggest an update. It would be nice to be able to see what photos are already on the frame through the app so we don’t duplicate or load others that are similar. I hope this could be done in an update. With that it would be a 5 star review, 2 stars shows you how much I would like to be able to do this!! ### 3/5 — User unfriendly *2020-06-28* I didnt have problems uploading from iphone. However, if you put the app in background while using another app. The uploads cancel completely and you have to go an re-select and upload photos. App must remain on top as primary app in use entire time of upload. **Developer response:** HI, if the app is placed in background then we hand off the uploads to iOS to take care of. Since iOS 13 this hasn't worked too well. But once the app is in foreground the uploads will continue. You will not see a popup, but you will see on the home screen the progress of each upload. ### 3/5 — Used to be better! *2020-05-21* The app used to be great, I uploaded a bunch of pics and went about my way and they uploaded in the background. Now you have to keep the app open making your phone unusable for hours since they’re slow to upload.
