## What is Phrase Flip?

Practice a language while reading the websites you already enjoy.

Choose a language and Phrase Flip translates selected English sentences directly in Safari. Read an article with a few translated sentences mixed in, then increase the intensity as you grow more comfortable.

Tap a translated sentence to reveal the original English. Restore the page whenever you want.

MAKE IT YOUR OWN
- Flip a page on demand or enable auto-flip.
- Adjust how many sentences are translated.
- Exclude websites where you prefer the original text.
- Keep reading in the page's original layout, with links preserved.

PRIVATE, ON-DEVICE TRANSLATION
Spanish is included with the app and runs on your device. Page text is not sent to a translation server. No account, API key, or subscription is required.

You can also download other languages: French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Greek, Dutch, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, and experimental Arabic. Each model downloads once from Mozilla and then works offline. That download tells Mozilla which language you chose.

GET STARTED
Open Phrase Flip and follow the setup instructions to enable its Safari extension. Allow access to the websites you want to use, then open Phrase Flip from Safari's Page Menu to start flipping.

Requires iOS 17.0 or iPadOS 17.0 or later. Works with selectable English text on supported web pages. Safari's protected pages and some website layouts cannot be translated.
