It does not just start when you place it on your forehead. Everyone ends up violently shaking my phone trying to get it to start, but we’ve usually got to close out of the app and restart. Kindve kills the mood . Can’t there just be a manual start button? We played this for hours at Thanksgiving. So much easier than cards and a lot more fun! ### 3/5 — Introduction video is annoying *2020-08-29* This is really a fun app, until you want to change to another category, then the introduction video pop up each time and it gets really annoying. We know how to play, and we get it really....but everytime seeing the video really kills the fun. **Developer response:** Sorry. This was a bug that happened on first launch. Last update brought a bug that when you swipe up to change the category the info video plays every time. Every time, super annoying. Also, a feedback option in game settings would be awesome. It’s simple enough for all ages to use, and has a great variety of topics to choose from. The free version is awesome, but I bought the initial expansion pack for extra categories. Much appreciated. ### 4/5 — Overall improvement *2020-01-12* They should give you the ability to limit the number of skips you can do as we usually play with a “one skip rule.” Also it is hard to access the scoreboard in case you give the wrong score or forget to award a point. Win by two points would be a good option especially in close games. In the heat of the moment it’s hard to remember which direction to swipe- there should be fixed icons on the screen indicating skip vs “got it.” **Developer response:** Thanks for your feedback. I have improved accessibility of the score screen and made the swipe indicator show more often (after each player gets it). The user experience is just poor..the prior version was a bit dated but it’s core functionalities worked. Won’t be playing until there’s a fix. **Developer response:** Sorry that you don’t enjoy the new version. Ive maintained all functionality from the prior versions. You can pause a game by swiping up. What do you mean “can’t see how many you got right”? The scoreboard displays automatically between rounds and can be displayed by swiping down from the play screen. I make custom lists from English textbooks and play Phrase Party with my students as a warm up before every lesson. They love it and it’s great language practice for them. I requested the “Recycle Empty Categories” feature that was implemented in v11.1 and it works perfectly for my needs.
