One expression a day, in two sizes and on the Lock Screen. It changes at midnight and stays the same all day. • Speed drop is a new review mode. The expression falls toward the line while you pick its meaning from four choices — ten questions, ten seconds each, moving on by itself. • Everything you missed can go straight to your library in one tap, and the next round asks about those first. • Your longest run of correct answers is now kept between rounds, so there is a number to beat. • Category tiles show how far you have come, and Settings can remind you once a day. The reminder is off until you turn it on. Quick review is unchanged. It still waits for you. ### 1.2.3 — 2026-08-21 Review against the clock. • Speed drop is a new review mode. The expression falls toward the line while you pick its meaning from four choices — answer before it lands. • Ten questions, ten seconds each. Each one moves on by itself, so your rhythm never breaks. • Your longest run of correct answers is kept for the round, and everything you missed is waiting at the end — including the ones that ran out of time. • With Reduce Motion on, the fall becomes a gauge so you can still see the time you have left. With VoiceOver, every question gives you twice the time. Quick review is unchanged. It still waits for you. ### 1.2.2 — 2026-08-20 Keep your place while you study. • Quick review now runs both ways — switch between choosing the meaning and choosing the expression. • Move to the next or previous expression right from the detail screen, without going back to the list. • Search results are ordered by how closely they match. When a result matches in a language you are not studying, that wording is shown so you can see why it came up. • Library has a new Learning tab that gathers everything you marked as Learning or Mastered. • Lists now show which expressions are favorited and how far along you are. Fixed: if a favorite or a study status could not be saved, the app now tells you instead of losing it silently. ### 1.2.1 — 2026-08-15 • Show Mode Fill the screen with a phrase and turn your device to show it — for airports, restaurants, and clinics when words don't get through. The screen stays awake while you show it. • Share phrase cards Turn a phrase you like into a card image and share it in messages or on social media. • Quick review Five questions from the home screen, starting with what you haven't learned yet. Tap any miss to open it right away. • Better speech VoiceOver now reads each phrase in its own language, and pronunciation playback is more reliable. ### 1.1.4 — 2026-08-13 • Pick up where you left off — the home screen now shows the expressions you viewed most recently. New here? We'll start you off with some free ones. • The library is now split into Favorites and History. Favorites are the ones you saved; History is what you opened recently. • Removing an item from the library never deletes the expression itself — it only clears the star or the view record. • Added help buttons where things get confusing: the difference between your language and the translation language, formality levels, and study status. • Card icons now animate as they appear.
