## What is Phrases Park?

Phrases Park turns 2,000 everyday English phrases into something you can actually finish — a few at a time, with a quiz waiting at the end of every group.

Every phrase comes with a plain-English meaning, a real example sentence, and translations in eight languages. Tap to hear either the English or the translation read aloud. And none of it needs a connection: the whole library is on your device.

WHAT'S INSIDE

• 2,000 phrases across 17 categories — Everyday Essentials, Greetings & Conversation, Feelings & Opinions, Requests & Politeness, Time & Plans, Travel & Transport, Food & Dining, Shopping & Money, Work & Business, Relationships & Dating and more
• A meaning and an example sentence for every single phrase
• Both of them translated into Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, Korean, German, Spanish and Italian
• Read-aloud on the English example and on the translation

STUDY AT YOUR OWN PACE

Pick a category and work through it in small groups. You decide how many phrases go in a group and how many groups make up a day, so a session fits the time you actually have. Review Mode brings back what you learned last time before you take on anything new. Stop halfway and your place is kept — reopen the app and carry on from the same card.

FOUR WAYS TO TEST YOURSELF

• Level Test — 30 questions that place you from New Crew and Beginner up through Intermediate, Advanced, Professional and Native
• Casual or Academy pools — the language of everyday conversation, or the discussion vocabulary you need in academic settings
• Learned Phrases — quiz only the phrases you have already studied
• Mistakes Review — anything you get wrong is remembered and offered back to you until it sticks

Quizzes run 5, 10, 20 or 50 questions, whichever suits the moment.

BROWSE THE WHOLE LIBRARY

Search all 2,000 phrases by wording or by meaning, filter down to a category, and mark anything as Learned or file it in your Archive to come back to later.

WATCH IT ADD UP

Your Home screen keeps the phrase of the day, your quiz count, your average accuracy and a weekly performance chart together in one view — plus streak badges that run from Newcomer and Getting Started through Week Warrior, Habit Former and On Fire to Monthly Master.

A HOME SCREEN WIDGET

Put a phrase on your Home Screen in any of the four sizes, on iPhone and iPad. A new one arrives each day, it works with no connection, and you can save a phrase to your Archive by tapping the widget itself — no need to open the app. The Learn button takes you straight to that phrase.

EIGHT LANGUAGES, NOT JUST THE PHRASES

The entire interface is translated too — English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, Korean, German, Spanish and Italian — so the app speaks your language while it teaches you another. Switch whenever you like in Settings.

Sign in with Apple if you want your progress carried across your devices. If you would rather not, nothing is withheld: no account is needed to use any part of the app.

Light and dark themes, and sound effects you can turn off.

## Version history (last 2 releases)

### 1.0.1 — 2026-09-09

Phrases Park now guides your day instead of leaving you to choose.

• Up next — Open the app and it tells you what to do now: study a new group, clear what's due for review, or revisit the mistakes that are ready. One tap goes straight there, and each screen hands you on to the next.

• Mistakes that actually stick — A missed phrase used to disappear after three correct answers in one sitting. It now comes back on a spaced schedule over about eleven days, so you relearn it instead of just repeating it.

• Every answer explained — Right or wrong, you now see the sentence's translation and the phrase's meaning, not just a tick or a cross.

• Pick up where you left off — Step away mid-group or mid-quiz and the app puts you back there rather than at the home screen.

• Finish everything for the day and you get fireworks.

• Clearer quizzes — The question count no longer climbs while you answer, and the options you didn't choose stay readable.

• Home Screen widget — Now shows the day of the week, with the week filling in dot by dot as it goes.

• A longer opening animation, so the logo settles before the app appears.

• Fixed four phrases that showed a stray bracket in their translation.
