### 4/5 — Good app, gets job done. Only 1 issue…

*2026-07-26*

There isn’t a way to remove dns servers in the UI. This is very inconvenient for me since I changed my hostname and the app will show disconnected with no way of removing it from the list of servers.

Cheers

### 5/5 — Such a great app!

*2026-06-14*

Thank you for this. It’s very useful and 100% better than using the web interface to monitor.

### 5/5 — Great companion app for pihole

*2026-05-29*

No ads and no obtrusive paywalls for features. This is what all companion apps for great open source projects should strive to be. Keep up the good work!

### 4/5 — Great app, but missing functionality

*2026-05-13*

I wish I could manage and toggle groups (I have one that blocks all queries for some clients)

### 5/5 — Nice app but need support for multiple pihole instances

*2026-03-27*

Great app, really like the UI. The app does have some light support for multi server but you need to switch between serves to use the app. Would be great to have all servers enabled and pulling stats at the same time.

**Developer response:** Thanks for the feedback, will try to improve this in a future release

### 5/5 — Early impressions very positive

*2026-02-27*

I needed an app to allow me to monitor my local Pi-Hole installation and, crucially, quickly & easily pause its blocking, for those one or two sites that panic if they can't do certain DNS lookups.
This app does the job beautifully, in all senses of the word; it has the features I need, and a clear & attractive UI. Thanks, Mr Hansen!

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 2.0 — 2026-08-02

Version 2.0

Almost everything in this release came from your feedback, thank you.

- Widgets that keep themselves running
Your widget can now sign in on its own, so it keeps updating even when the app has been closed for a long time. Previously it would get stuck showing "HTTP error 401" until you opened the app again. After updating, open the app once so your widget can pick this up.

- Live query streaming on iPad
Live mode now works on iPad, not just iPhone. The Live button has moved next to the search field, where it's always visible instead of being tucked away in a menu.

- Easier server management
Every server now has its own menu for editing or removing it, with a confirmation step so nothing disappears by accident. You can also remove a server directly from its edit screen. This should help if a Pi-hole's hostname changes and you need to fix or replace it.

- Copy domains and clients
Long press the domain or client on any query to copy it.

- A tidier Query Log
Search and Live now share a single row, filters and display options are gathered into one menu, and the title stays put when you switch modes. The keyboard also gets out of the way as soon as you scroll.

- Also fixed
Removing the server you were connected to no longer leaves its old connection status behind. Widgets set to the demo server now show sample data instead of an error.

Thank you!

Pi-hole Monitor is free, ad-free, and built in my spare time. Thank you to everyone who uses it, and especially to those who took the time to report a bug or suggest an improvement, this release is largely your doing. If you'd like to support development, there's now a "Buy Me a Coffee" option in Settings, but it's entirely optional and the app will always stay free and ad-free.

### 1.9 — 2026-05-19

You can now connect to local Pi-hole servers that use HTTPS without a fully trusted certificate. When adding or editing a server, enable "Allow self-signed certificates" to skip TLS validation for that server. Recommended only for Pi-holes on your own network.

### 1.8 — 2026-04-29

Block Entire Services with One Tap

Managing individual domains is a thing of the past. Head to Blocklists → Block Services to block entire platforms in one tap, including TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, Snapchat, Netflix, Discord, Spotify, and more.

Each service comes with a curated set of regex patterns that cover the primary domain, all subdomains, CDN endpoints, and media servers.

Once added, services appear as a dedicated section in your Blocklists with a toggle to enable or disable them without losing your configuration. Swipe to remove a service entirely when you no longer need it.

Not sure what's being blocked? Tap the info button on any service to see the full list of regex patterns before you commit.

14 supported services: TikTok, YouTube, Snapchat, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter / X, Reddit, Netflix, Twitch, Discord, WhatsApp, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Spotify.

### 1.7 — 2026-04-14

Bug fixes and stability improvements:
  - Fixed Settings showing "Disconnected" when the server was actually connected
  - Fixed a loading spinner that could get stuck on the dashboard
  - Fixed live query mode not stopping when switching servers
  - Fixed widget showing stale data after removing a server

### 1.6 — 2026-04-10

-> Redesigned Dashboard
The dashboard has been completely overhauled to better support multiple Pi-hole servers. Each server now gets its own card with a clear visual layout, making it easy to monitor all your servers at a glance.

Switch between Full, Compact, and Minimal views per card to show exactly as much detail as you need. From a rich overview with charts and top domain lists, down to a quick status summary.
