## What is Pianeer?

Paired with a MIDI keyboard Pianeer is a complete practice tool for piano players at any level. It gives clear and immediate feedback on your performance and progress through different practice modes or scores you import yourself.

There are several ways Pianeer lets you practice:

Song Practice
- Import any MIDI or MusicXML file of the song you want to practice
- 50 bundled songs of varying difficulty
- Select the exact bars you want to practice and with which hands
- Normal practice mode which only progresses the song on correctly hit notes
- Timed practice that lets you learn the tempo and rhythm

Guided Lessons
- 60 guided lessons starting from beginner-friendly to intermediate
- Achievements per lesson based on accuracy and pace

Randomized Practice
- Generates a sequence of random notes for sight-reading practice
- Control exactly the range of notes and which accidentals
- Configure which chords to include per hand

Drills
- Easily create your own custom drills in the app
- 38 Hanon exercises are bundled

Note visualization options
- Classic sheet music visualization divided up into pages
- Single scrolling staff system suitable for smaller screens
- Modern "falling notes" visualization to get another view of the music

Chord Reference
- Intuitive visualization of the most common chords
- Quiz mode that tests how well you recognize chord patterns

Scale Practice
- Practice playing scales in all 12 major keys

Statistics
- Track your accuracy and progress over time per practice mode and per song

The base functionality in Pianeer is free but you can upgrade to Pianeer Pro through a one-time purchase to unlock MIDI and MusicXML imports, all lessons, all bundled songs, all exercises and custom drill creation.

For the best experience connect a MIDI keyboard with Bluetooth or cable. Otherwise the on-screen keyboard can be used as well.
