### 3/5 — Not bad

*2026-06-08*

I am a Faber book fan and I am so glad I found this. Unfortunately the sheet music is not accurate which is quite surprising and shocking considering how pedantic books are. There are no peddling notes, no staccato, no tempo, and background music is over the top, but it is still useful. These issues would be so easy to fix…

### 3/5 — It is good

*2026-06-03*

But pay

### 4/5 — Search words

*2025-12-08, version 1.2.7*

Please make the app searchable with keyword Faber. 🙏

### 4/5 — Nice accompaniment, but missing a few features

*2025-04-27*

I would love to rate this 5 stars, but the pieces are missing the damper pedal markings and dynamics so it’s of limited value for my practice. It’s good for performance if you want the background accompaniments and to better understand the intended tempos.

I’m really hoping they see this and make these critical updates!

### 3/5 — I can’t find that piano 🎹

*2024-12-08, version 1.2.6*

Where to find it

### 3/5 — Please fix the bug!! :-)

*2024-02-27, version 1.2.6*

Hi! Bug of the tracks transposed by a half step- could we fix that please? Thank you!

### 4/5 — Adult learner

*2023-12-29, version 1.2.6*

Have bought the adult adventures books and use them in conjunction with the purchased accompanied scores which you purchase in this app.
They work well with a wait mode that stops the score if you hit wrong note a bit like flowkey (had 3 months free with Yamaha piano) but this app I find is better value as you keep the scores and don’t have a monthly fee. The app does crash a bit more often than I would like but can put up with this as it’s good value. Would like the crashing out fixed ( particularly on loop mode) and the ability to purchase a wider range of scores as may have to move to flowkey after completing all of the 2 adult adventures books as I like the wait mode when learning when your a complete beginner like me it lets you know you have hit a wrong note although that is much more obvious to me now when I work from one of the non app books such as classics or popular. Every one wants a monthly subscription which is a good model for them and a bad model for me hence why I like this app no monthly subs.

### 3/5 — No finger numbers

*2023-12-01, version 1.2.6*

The lack of the finger numbers and the inability to write them in is a major problem. The numbers are in their lesson book but not here. Why? So close.

### 1/5 — Worst app ever

*2023-11-17, version 1.2.6*

It doesn’t let you play any songs

### 1/5 — Bad

*2023-11-12*

I bought the books and kids want to listen how to play the songs but still have to pay for the app! Not recommended for parents to buy the books

### 1/5 — It’s good but bad

*2023-04-02, version 1.2.6*

The app is very helpful but it usually kick me out of the app which is very annoying and frustrating.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Making me rebuy what I already bought

*2026-04-13, version 1.2.8*

The only way they could make this app worse is it were a subscription

### 1/5 — Expensive and low quality

*2026-02-01, version 1.2.8*

Expensive and low quality, waste the money

### 1/5 — Upset

*2026-01-21, version 1.2.8*

I got really exited when I saw this, my Hal Leonard guitar book has a similar thing that is free.

I don’t see why charge extra for this. You get 3 songs free and you have to pay for the rest. And it is not cheap. Don’t recommend and am upset I installed it and got my hopes up.

I don’t understand why I can’t review a 0 star review if I could I would

### 1/5 — Does this still work? Videos not displaying

*2026-01-18, version 1.2.7*

Does this still work? Videos are blank.

### 1/5 — Not reflecting the book

*2026-01-10, version 1.2.7*

I guess they updated the book but not the app. So some songs are not available on the book/app

### 1/5 — Noted not played.

*2026-01-05, version 1.2.7*

Specifically Pop! Goes the Weasel from Piano Adventure Level 1 Performance book. On the 7th, 8th, 23rd and 24th measures. The left hand notes aren’t played at all. I tied hearing just the left hand notes and they’re completely absent. I’ve noticed this on other songs but came across this one at the time of writing this.

Developers should maybe include a report issue on each song so we can easily notify you of issues.

### 1/5 — Everything In English but the actual videos

*2025-12-02, version 1.2.7*

So I was looking forward to this as a companion app for their book. Everything in the app is in English, including the menus. When I play a video, it’s in some other language. Kind of useless to me.

### 1/5 — I want to love this

*2025-08-30, version 1.2.7*

I downloaded this as an accompaniment to my daughters piano lessons however, the songs don’t play! And sometimes it just makes a loud buzzing noise. Please fix this!

### 1/5 — Doesn’t do what it claims

*2025-02-02, version 1.2.6*

Downloaded this to go with written book. Hard to use. 7 yr old gets frustrated with tempo. Not able to find the note review section.

### 1/5 — It’s the worst

*2024-09-17, version 1.2.6*

On the photo it shows notes but when I tried finding them there were no notes.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Don’t make people pay money

*2025-12-10, version 1.2.7*

👍🏻

### 5/5 — BEST PIANO LEARNING APP

*2025-12-05, version 1.2.7*

I purchased the Piano adventures book for Adults by direction of the book. BEST LEARNING TOOL BY FAR! The book + app have greatly increased my understanding of music theory and piano fundamentals.
I only leave reviews when I am passionate about something so trust me on this, you won’t regret it.

### 5/5 — very useful app!! :D

*2025-02-04*

i use the faber piano adventures books for my piano lessons. i love using this app for whenever i need help with a song, or when i wanna use it for fun! i like that it lights up the notes its playing so you can keep on track of where you are in the song. its just a good and awesome app that helps you with your songs! i even recommended it to my piano teacher today when i did my lesson! thanks for this app :3

### 5/5 — Helpful

*2024-12-12, version 1.2.6*

It’s super helpful with learning but only until level 4. With Level 4, they need to add content (Lesson, performance book music) to their app.

### 5/5 — Incredible value!

*2024-11-16*

This app is a MUST-HAVE for anyone with a midi piano and any of the Piano Adventures books. For a one time cost of $5 (for example), you can purchase all of the songs from the Adult all-in-one book. The app gives you the ability to play each song in “normal” mode so you can hear how it is supposed to be played or in “wait” mode so you can play the song while the app listens for when you’ve pressed the correct key before moving to the next note. It even provides optional background music to heighten the experience. Many apps with similar (or greater) functionality are available, but most require a monthly subscription at a multitude of this app’s cost.

### 5/5 — I love the for my kids to listen when they play the piano

*2024-06-08, version 1.2.6*

I

### 5/5 — Stellar for Teachers

*2024-02-07*

This has made lessons more engaging through midi with the songs. I really hope they keep this app running, because even though it’s dated, it works incredibly well.

It crashes on me a couple times a day , but it’s easily overlooked for just the simplicity and tools it brings to teaching

### 5/5 — Fabulous Resource!

*2023-12-04, version 1.2.6*

I am grateful for this app! It’s a wonderful companion to my instructional book. If I can’t make out part of a tune it’s super helpful. And it’s free!!! No complaints.

### 5/5 — Great App

*2023-11-15, version 1.2.6*

My daughter used the Book 3 level and it was great!

### 5/5 — Terrific App

*2022-10-29, version 1.2.2*

I’m an early beginner on piano, but have played guitar for years.

This is a very nice app, more feature rich, stable, and usable than I expected it to be. Often, these types of apps are a quick and dirty thing that doesn’t work well, and then the company never updates it, or adds content. This app works quite well, and seems to get updated semi-regularly. Kudos to the Faber folks.

I suggest using a cable to connect your iPad to your keyboard. Bluetooth introduces a delay that is noticable to most folks. A cable connection doesn’t have a noticable delay. This isn’t an app issue, it is a “feature” of bluetooth.

They provide 3 songs with the free app so you can try it out to see if it works for you. The content that follows the course and song books are purchased individually, for around $5. Very reasonably priced. I just wish that all their books were available. [ To those that complained that all this should be free: I have to ask, “Do you work for free?” Yep, didn’t think so…. ]

The app respects your privacy by not gathering information about you. Only diagnostics not linked to your identity are collected. I appreciate the respect, and never use apps that invade my privacy.

It’s not a subscription! THANKS! I never do the subscriptions.

This app isn’t perfect. Here are a few things I’d like to see improved.

Occasional crashes when I press the Play button.
It should always play the count-in “ticks”, even if the metronome is turned off. Otherwise, you’re just guessing when to start playing. The little dots don’t help me at all.
Count-in needs to be separate from the loop markers. I often want to loop the whole “song/exercise” to practice it, and don’t want it to loop the count-in each and every time through.
The current unit and file/exercise should be highlighted when you go back to the menu to choose an exercise.
When you play back a recording, it should remember your last settings for playing back a recording. There are too many keypresses required to listen back, and look for mistakes, then playing again.
Midi artifacts on some of my recordings. There are often some notes, and drones that I didn’t play that show up when I play back recordings. My keyboard is a Medeli AKX10.
The tempo and [Normal, Follow, Wait] buttons are too small for me to read on my 12.9 inch Ipad Pro.
Improve how the app shows you how you did with rhythm as well as note selection. For instance, the app shows no errors as long as I play the correct notes, even if played stacatto when it should be legato.
Needs dynamics and fingering added to the sheet music display.
