## What is Piano Macaroni?

Piano Macaroni is a beautifully simple piano you can carry anywhere — no login, no ads, no internet required.

PLAY INSTANTLY
Tap a key and the note plays. Slide across keys to glissando. Press chords with multi-touch. Notes ring with a warm, harmonic piano tone shaped by a fast-attack, slow-release envelope so every press feels real.

SEE WHAT YOU PLAY — FREE
Every key you hold shows up in large, clear letters above the keyboard. Hold three or more and Piano Macaroni names the chord for you, from plain triads through Cmaj9, 13ths and altered dominants. Five chord names a day are free, every day, with no account and no trial.

PREMIUM UNLOCK ($0.99 one-time)
The free tier gives you a clean, single-octave piano and daily chord names. A one-time $0.99 unlock adds:

• Up to 5 octaves on screen — pick how many you want.
• Octave shift — move the visible window up or down.
• 5 instrument voices — Grand Piano, Electric Piano, Bright Piano, Organ, Synth Pad.
• Velocity-sensitive touch — softer touches play softer, firm touches swell.
• Reverb — Room or concert-Hall depth.
• Metronome — 40 to 220 BPM with a visual pulse.
• Scale highlighter — pick a key and mode (Major, Minor, Pentatonic, Blues) and the scale notes glow.
• Unlimited chord names — no daily cap.
• Recording — capture your performance to .m4a, play it back, share it.
• 4 themes — Midnight, Aurora, Ivory Day, Neon.

DESIGNED FOR EVERY DEVICE
Beautiful on iPhone, expansive on iPad. Two-finger pan to scroll, single-finger to play.

ZERO FRICTION
• No login, ever.
• No subscriptions — one $0.99 unlock and it is yours forever.
• No ads.
• No tracking, no data collection.
• Works fully offline.

Perfect for practicing scales, working out a chord progression, sketching a melody on the train, or just having a piano in your pocket.

### 1.0.2 — 2026-09-12

Responsiveness fixes.

### 1.0.1 — 2026-09-08

• Chord names are now free. Hold three or more keys and Piano Macaroni names the chord — five a day, every day. Premium removes the cap.
• Every note you hold now appears on screen at once, left to right, the way your hand sits on the keys.
• The sustain pedal is clearly labelled and lights up while it is held.
• Fixed: the scale highlighter was invisible on white keys in the Midnight, Aurora and Neon themes.
• Settings are reorganised — everything free is grouped first, premium underneath.
• Slightly shorter keys for a roomier layout.
