I took piano lessons in my school before and it was really lackluster, I came out not really knowing anything expect for the basics. I recently bought a piano because I’ve really been wanting to learn and I’m so glad I saw your YT vid’s and found out you had an app. I love how they have a “songbook” tab included so that you can read the notes and also play the song at the same time! I wish I had more time and money to get private lessons. This is the closest I’m going to get to that! But I love the app and I think it’s very helpful for a total beginner! Side note - My mom passed away 5 years ago and she was a huge Elton John fan. I want to be able to play one of his songs one day! I think that would be so I cool. This app is free and goes in depth with learning the piano. Can’t wait for more updates! But I do have an issue, I love how you can learn on the go but when I am at home and have my keyboard, I’d like to play in my keyboard during the times where the app quizzes you on which key to play. Because I absolutly live this app (so far) and I am living the lessons they are soooo good. And I was going step by step in order doing everything right. And I got about 70% way through level one and I get to the second video in preparing the tuck learning the thumb techniques and for some reason the video doesn’t work. I’ve tried everything! Turned it on then off. Deleted the app redownloaded the app and nothing seems to be working. The videos don’t work. I even bought level two thinking I needed to make a purchase to unlock the rest of it. But that didn’t fix the problem either. I don’t know what to do. I really want to continue on this app. Otherwise. Totally amazing app. Just really bummed out. Just when I had a good thing going it messed up. And I don’t want to skip ahead to level two without completing level one. 😭😭 ### 3/5 — Almost great *2021-06-18, version 1.1.7* If it had a mike function or I could get my basic keyboard to connect some other way, it would be great, but none of the Bluetooth adapters I’ve tried work, and I think finding another app will cost less than upgrading my keyboard. I love the app truly I do but I came to learn real piano not online piano... You should add a microphone so that the app can listen to the person playing piano. Is there any plan to release the rest? I can already tell I will want to buy every one of the lessons as they come out. I love that the developers are offering options for people who can’t afford it (or don’t want to), but I personally want to help support this style of learning and anyone genuine enough to offer quality lessons for such a low price. Subscriptions: I hope this doesn't disapoint you, but paying for the server costs to keep the app running are already into the $100's per month even at our small size, so to keep running our plan is to eventually go to a (fairly priced) subscription model. However, we will always keep offering scholarships for those who cannot pay as this is part of our mission. Lesson 3 got paused because we need funding to accelerate development, so we are just about to release a crowdfunding campaign, once that's out then I'll turn my attention back to making more levels, so I'm hoping for level 3 sometime this fall. It’s very easy to use, and i like the setup. But there’s something wrong with lesson two. I learned to play the G major scale in the video and moved on to the interactive bit but it wouldn’t accept my answer! I rewatched the video to make sure I was playing the right thing, tried shutting off the app and opening it back up again, everything; nothing is working. it’s not saying i’m wrong, it’s just not responding to what i’m doing. Work on Midi support. *2019-04-07, version 1.0.3* Really love what y’all are doing. It is great and I love that it’s free. The biggest issue I see is a bug with how the app seems to use Midi. It doesn’t seem to regard length at all. If you play one note, it will assume you’re playing that note continuously. Which made it very hard to get through a piece. I just ended up using the in-app keyboard. Though I’d much rather use my own. It’s great at teaching you the basics, and is easy to understand. While connecting a piano may be a bit of a hassle, especially to people who don’t own a piano with Bluetooth access ‘n such, it does work and has a well response time when I play a key. My one concern that I’ve experienced just now is the app reading that I’ve pressed a key twice, when in fact I only press it once. It’s a bit of a hassle, and I have to resort to playing on my phone to advance. I’m not sure if this is an issue on my end, or if anyone else had it, but I thought of sharing this in case it has happened to someone else. Other than that, I’ve been enjoying this!
