### 4/5 — Good app

*2016-02-28*

Nice app, but no overdub when recording like beatmaker 2. I import midi created in beatmaker then upload to this app to show lighted keys.

Best lighted key app on the market...

### 4/5 — Love it!

Yhis app is a lot of fun to play and practice!

### 4/5 — Great app!

### 4/5 — Piano sharp hd

*2011-06-09*

This is my first time using this type of application and it is very good, the only problem I have is I'm always looking for sheet music to read I've spent a lot of time learning to read music, even if the cords and notes were available it would be nice. But, my overall opinion is this is a wonderful app. I also believe the option of hiding the second keyboard would be good. It is a very good app. Thank you Jjoeyjeff

### 5/5 — Exactly what I wanted

*2010-12-16, version 1.1*

Is app is exactly what I was looking for: a midi song player that highlights the piano keys as it plays. Perfect use of the iPad screen, especially how it allows you to zoom in on they keys with the pinch hand gesture. Plus, an extremely simple way to upload your midi files. It even has a simple way to select the tracks you want played from the midi file.

It's a home run! I'm so happy I finally ran into it.

### 3/5 — Close to being just what I need...

*2010-05-29*

I'm a visual learner and use Rhondo on my Mac to learn complicated piano pieces from MIDI files. I love the fact that this program easily transfers MIDI files from my computer to the iPad, and shows the music playing on the keyboard -- EXACTLY what I was looking for! But... I have two problems with Piano sharp -- when you pause the music to examine a complicated set of chords, you can't stop exactly where you want easily using the playhead and even when you do get it just right by slowing the tempo down, the highlighted keys disappear after a couple of seconds. I think adding a fine-tuned scrubber control to position the playhead and keeping the played keys highlighted would be ideal. I'd also vote to optionally hide the second keyboard and show the notation or piano-roll representation of the score instead. With a few enhancements, this would be my favorite piano app.

### 5/5 — Finally! Yeah!

*2010-04-17*

A piano app that has gotten it right! I have tried all the piano apps offered and not one was really very good except this one. This app is great. Two keyboards with the top keyboard displaying almost 40 keys is a good idea. Also the ability to run your fingers over the keys and have them play as rapidly as your movement is something that many of the other apps did not know how to implement. No clicks or pops. Love the ability to slow the playing to a crawl for study purposes. This app just puts all the the right options together.

### 1/5 — A problem

*2021-05-19*

It doesn’t work and not any next step go on .

Best regards

### 1/5 — Almost Perfect

*2014-01-11*

'Just need to add more time signatures, transpose and a few other options. It's worth ever cent!

Update: after an iOS update, it doesn't show chords on the right hand. It is now useless.

### 1/5 — Terrific but glitchy

*2013-10-25*

This is one of the best "learn to play piano" apps available. My kids learned "Claire de Lune" and "Fur Elise" in within a few short hours.

However, something happened on our iPad, maybe connected with an iPad software upgrade. The virtual keyboard no longer displays the fingering of the right hand. So there is no longer a way to learn a song through the app.

I wrote Rambax tech support but they haven't responded. And I deleted the app and re-installed it but the problem remains.

This is such a great app that it's easily worth much more than Rambax is charging -- when it works. At this point I wouldn't recommend it to anyone until it gets fixed and made stable.

### 1/5 — What the heck?!

*2012-01-15*

I bought this specifically so that I could do simple recordings of my part and play them back. The info made it seem like that should be easy to do. However, I've recorded a number of times, and my recording never shows up and I can't play it again. It's not like the app is so expensive, but it is not straightforward like they said, and it is a waste of money, especially because now I have to find another app that will allow me to record and replay the music. Really annoyed.

### 2/5 — Cannot import midi files

*2011-06-06*

I bought this app just so I could load midi files from my laptop or the internet and learn to play songs by watching the keys. Despite claims that such midi import is possible it simply hasn't worked for me. I've followed the instructions and it still doesn't work. For me therefore this app is completely useless. I want my money back!

### 3/5 — Great concept but needs improvement

*2015-01-08*

I love the idea behind the application where you can import midi files and auto play them using the virtual keyboard.

This makes a great tool for learning to play music while practicing songs that we love instead of music enforced on us.

Bit I believe the application could use a fence lift and become easier to use and import sings

### 3/5 — Better

*2011-06-06*

This was a much needed update but there are still some issues! Namely there still seems to be a whole octave cut off! And opening from safari seems like a given at this point.

### 5/5 — Outstanding app!!!!

*2012-02-24*

I have been playing piano since early childhood and this app inspires me and hel
S remember compositions.

### 5/5 — Very good app but need to be improved

*2012-01-29*

I bought this app for my 10 year old daughter. She uses it when she play piano. It helps her a lot. But I wish to see some improvement in three aspects:
1. It is very hard to choose a specific tempo to play a song. It would be much easier for user if there are two buttons in two sides of speed slide bar. One for increasing speed. Other for decreasing speed.
2. Play song button is too small for click.
3. I wish to see a new feature for adjusting the song' s volume for left and/or right hand music notes.

### 5/5 — Great!

*2012-01-27, version 1.3.1*

Great app!... Very useful for a novice piano learner of 70. Having never learned music, this app is very helpful to find difficult chords in a piano tune session.
Great app indeed!...

### 5/5 — excelent app to learn any song as long as you have the midi file

*2011-12-25*

really impresive

### 5/5 — Fantastic learning tool...

*2011-09-14, version 1.3.1*

This a great Midi player and has great piano sounds. Does everything I wanted when I bought it.
One request would be to actual show the name of the keys as they are playback through midi.
This really is worth the price!

### 5/5 — Great and Useful Piano App!

*2011-07-17*

Piano App HD is a wonderful addition to any music makers or piano creators collection.

### 5/5 — Nice app and great for midi file uploads

*2011-01-22*

That's why I bought this piano application: Just to be able to upload and listen to some old midi files. It works very well for that. Other functionality? I'm still exploring, but I am already very pleased. Recommended!
