### 3/5 — Not sure

*2020-11-23*

Notes went way to fast. There isn’t even a beginner start off. I don’t like how you have to pay for most songs. There should be more pop songs by Miley Cyrus and Shawn Mendes and other people.

### 3/5 — Great app but something’s gone wrong

*2020-06-17*

I love this app and have found it useful for teaching some of disabled students remotely. However something has gone wrong. The colour key function isn’t working anymore (and wasn’t originally applied to the black keys which was a shame) and on iPad view the bottom half of the keys are missing. I understand the need to monetize but it’s a shame about the advertising - it’s quite obstructive.

### 3/5 — The Tragedy

*2020-06-14*

I used to play on this app all the time. The application registers when you use multiple fingers on the screen at once, meaning that the application allows you to play chords.

This application used to be responsive. At any tempo, you could easily play a series of notes and there would be no lag between the notes pressed.

Unfortunately, the latest update has shortened the height of the keys drastically. The responsiveness of the keys, when “pressed”, has dropped substantially.

I find that the application can not be used anymore to play musical passages at quicker tempos as there now exists a lag.

In conclusion, the application used to be fantastic. It had keys that were larger in height, and the responsiveness for pressing the piano keys used to be excellent. With the latest update, the keys became shorter in height. There now exists a huge amount of lag when pressing piano keys in succession.

### 3/5 — Wow

*2020-04-27*

Good but boring

### 3/5 — Good App

*2018-01-12*

Good app but how do I upgrade from the free version? Nothing happens when I click on the purchase icon.

### 3/5 — 😃

*2017-02-10*

Choisir nos musique

### 3/5 — I want to slow the tempo!

*2015-12-02, version 2.0*

On the app description it says I can slow or increase the tempo but that option is not available! The songs go kind of fast for a beginner! Please put that feature on! Maybe add something instead of music notes saying what keys are coming up next in a song for those who learn by memory and don't read music!

### 3/5 — Glitches on settings

*2015-04-19*

It's nice to have a piano app that shoes the notes and how to play them, but I would like to be able to control the tempo or at least be able to look at the notes while in practice mode. Also the settings keep resetting and even if I turn the background song volume down it still plays. A similar experience happens with piano volume but only some notes play.

### 3/5 — This can be better 😐😐😐

*2014-12-02, version 2.0*

It's ok and all but what really bugs me is that the keyboard is super big! There isn't enough space on the screen to normally play one of my songs! I have to scroll to the next part of the keyboard in the middle of some which is really, really frustrating. Please update and make the keyboard a bit longer. Thanks 😄

### 3/5 — Bossy little app sometimes

*2014-11-12*

This app is a bit bossy. If your reading this then I think you might be laughing. But it's not funny. When I pressed Mary had a little lamb it gave me keys and it made me play what they said when it was not Mary had a little lamb. This app is bossy. If you haven't played it try it yourself if you don't believe me. If you do believe me than thanks but I still hope the creators of this game fix my problem. So I guess sugar rush forever might be the only complaint but I don't care. Thank you for those who believe me.

### 4/5 — Too fast!

*2014-09-05, version 2.0*

I wish they kept the ability to control the pace of the song. I was able to learn the songs better, but now it goes so fast, I can't keep up with the notes, since I don't know them. Please add that feature back :(

### 4/5 — Really, a great app

*2014-08-30*

I really do like this keyboard app. I've been playing piano for a very long time and I love the function of this keyboard. Very nice with an immediate response and multiple notes can be played!! Yes!
The only problem is that (though the menu music is nice) I want to be able to turn the music off. I tried turning the "song" volume off, but this either doesn't work or the settings are not saved.
Overall, four stars! It's a wonderful tool to just play around with. I even have gotten sufficiently good enough with the app to accompany myself with chords on a few songs. Perfect for quickly writing out melodies as well on the go!

### 5/5 — Best of the best

*2013-08-18*

Will b happy to pay for no ad app.

### 3/5 — Tricky

*2013-06-20, version 1.1*

It's really hard to keep playing the right notes. Because my phone is heat sensor (of course) it thinks I'm playing one note when I'm actually trying to play a different note, and then it gets hard to play the right notes when you know what the right notes are. It doesn't always play the notes you want to play when you are trying to play a certain note.

### 5/5 — Love it

*2013-06-18, version 1.1*

This is an amazing app but i wish in the settings they would add the note names on the piano keys bc i play bass clarinet and the high notes are giving me a problem bc i don't know where to press. Hope you add that to the update. Also add more classic songs. Other than that i love it

### 3/5 — THESE NEED TO BE IN THE NEXT UPDATE!!!!

*2013-04-14, version 1.1*

Sound of song should be optional in both modes as well as it should be pausable (both modes still) not stop the song and have to start over every sing time. I like how it works though. Also, should make it hands accessible (meaning bigger keys so I can treat it like a real piano and use both my hands). So it loses a point for that and a point for the first thing. Add them PLEASE.

### 5/5 — Awesome

*2013-04-02, version 1.1*

This is the coolest most simple and free way to play piano. I don't even see how the people who posted discouraging comments actually thought that. If it's not working for you that's ok but others may say otherwise. I think people should play this app. If you agree post ~apgcyrw:

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — New update broke the app

*2020-06-12*

Now it lags and it doesn’t play unless you have your phone off of silent mode. Used for years, deleting today.

### 1/5 — I don't know

*2013-01-04*

I don't no what it's like I haven't played yet so I don't no but I bet it's good

### 1/5 — 

*2012-03-14*

Well,I can't properly describe this application as there was no sound for some strange reason, my iPad was on full volume, so I thought I would try a different application, and funnily enough the sound was working perfectly, so I can only rate this application a 1, just complete and utter rubbish and I do not recommend to download this app to anybody because it's 

### 1/5 — Mixed Emtions

*2012-03-06, version 1.0*

So I downloaded the app, then I try and start it up, what happens... It just sits there and loads. I think nothing then it just crashes like exits out of the app. So I delete it and get it again and it does the same thing. I kind of upset because this looked cool but the reviews are not so great. Also you know what I hate in general this dumb comment thing shows the first thing that comments so no one will see this but whatever

### 1/5 — NOT WORTH IT.

*2011-12-30*

I figured, HEY, a free app. What's to lose? But even with incredibly low standards for this app, I have to say, IT IS VERY SUCKY. the keyboard so far has not made any audible sounds when I play, regardless of volume or headphone input, yet somehow the demo songs play with perfect pitch and sound quality. If you can get it to work without it crashing your iPad/iPod/iPhone then I salute you. At the end of the day it's just another "free" app (that for full features requires you to pay full price). Virtuoso Piano, despite the cost, is much better. At least I can get IT to play (most of the time).

### 1/5 — Won't even load

*2011-11-28, version 1.0*

Not sure what's going on… my iPad 1 is running the latest version of iOS (and isn't jailbroken or modified in any way) and Piano won't even load. It crashes and goes right back to the app selection screen every time. Yes, I've tried powering off and back on. I visited the piano "support" page but couldn't find any indication of support there. From the other reviews I gather that others are using it fine, but...

### 2/5 — Too little control over volumes and song playback

*2020-09-30*

The description says there’s a way to set the volumes for the background music and the keys separately but it’s not intuitive. If you change the song volume in settings, the playing music volume changes, both the main song that you’re trying to learn and the accompaniment. The only control on the volume of the keys you press is the volume of your device. There is no way (that I’ve found) to separate the volume of the main song vs the accompaniment (which I’d rather not have).

Also I haven’t found a way to pause or scroll through the song playing so that you can practice pieces of it. It’s all or nothing.

### 2/5 — Out of tune?

*2016-04-05, version 2.0*

The piano is a little out of tune somehow, that or the pitch through the phone isn't matching with my piano because of my phone's speakers. Either way you can't play much on the piano and the song book isn't anywhere near as good as other apps (magic piano). Either you want a piano to play easy melodies on, or an app that lets you play popular songs, or match pitches this is not the app you need.

### 2/5 — Songs don't work! 😞

*2012-11-13*

It's all fine until I try and tap a song to play it because when I try and do this it just closes the whole app and takes me back to my home screen. Not sure if this is a common problem with this app but it is very annoying!

### 2/5 — Not the Real Thing

*2012-06-14, version 1.0*

I found the piano difficult to play. Only a small part of the piano fits on the screen at a time, and the piano does not always recognize your touch. It is almost impossible to play fast pieces. It was not at all like a real piano, but it is probably as good as an iPod/iPad piano can get. If you are looking to practice your piano or take up piano as a new instrument though, I don't recommend downloading this app.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2024-09-09*

This game brings back memories! I love this game so much, and I would recommend it to everyone who likes piano games.

### 5/5 — Good!

*2021-05-07*

I have a grand piano and this helps me learn more music : )

### 5/5 — LOVE IT!!!AMAZING

*2017-07-28*

This app is definitely worth it there's no crashes, many songs to chose from! I've never had any problems with this app and I think I've had it for like almost 4 years the app is amazing and you can use any part of the piano you want! Worth it! 5 stars

### 5/5 — Game

*2017-04-30*

My son is having so much fun with the app/game.

### 5/5 — Sweet piano!

*2016-02-04*

This is definitely the nicest piano app without spending a ton of money either!. Some of these comments are the people's faults that wrote them. You did address many of their issues but they can't see it!. On the other hand, it would be nice if the volume toggles were saved until moved. And lastly, I agree... More songs would be very much appreciated!. Regardless Developer, nice job and thank you very much!

### 5/5 — Love this app!

*2015-11-22, version 2.0*

I love this app but I wish that more songs were available to play! I now have unlocked all of the songs and have lots of coins to purchase more songs but there aren't any more songs available.

### 5/5 — Great app but...

*2015-06-04, version 2.0*

I think you should make it to where you can play the music you have on you're phone and and it shows the keys so you know how to play it and let's you play ur music and play the piano if ur song has piano in it

### 5/5 — Amazing app of the world

*2015-05-23*

This app is great now I know a lot about this app. Know I now how to play the piano. It's not a waist of time it just helps you learn how to play different songs. You can get points for how good u play. You can get 20 ,25,30,35,75,70,100 and 200 . It's really amazing when you have any of those u can play a song that you have. It will look like this 🎵 and then the numbers on the right of the top. 😀😀😀😁

### 5/5 — It's really good. Now...

*2014-01-15, version 1.2*

...add a pause function, add time signatures, and fix "Kumbah" - give it a time sig. of 6/4 or a slow 3/2 with the first 2 quarters as pickups. This app is great for beginners, including singers, to learn to read/sing music in print and play it on the piano too. Highly recommended.

### 5/5 — I LOVE IT!

*2013-10-24, version 1.2*

Thank you so much for creating such an awesome App! Its plays so much like the real deal!
It's been years since I played a piano and Ive forgotten just how much fun I have been missing!
Thank you for bringing back such wonderful memories, not to mention a terrific way to unwind from the day!
