Customer service has also been very responsive!! ### 5/5 — Game changer for my Piano *2025-12-15* Cannot say enough good things about the quality of the app, the music that comes out of my piano or the extraordinary customer service. I had some challenges getting the accompanying vocals, orchestrations, etc out of my speaker. I texted the clearly identified customer support number, got a call back in minutes and had the problem resolved moments later. Well worth the cost of the subscription. I recently added the audio version of the app to my piano and with Mr. Hayes suggestion, bought the device on Amazon that allows me to hear the audio. I had some trouble at the beginning, but Richie is very helpful if you text him with any concerns. He quickly assisted me and help solve the problem and now my piano sings with Audio!!! Thank you, Richie! ### 5/5 — Excellent app and great customer support! *2025-09-19* I have a Mark 2 Yamaha Disclavier piano. The PianoStream App has given my player piano a new life with a huge volume of songs available. Used the Widi Master to easily hook up the midiport which now allows me to bypass those old 3.5 disks that I had to use when we originally purchased the piano. Look forward to an updated solution that will allow the piano to play background music through the piano’s integrated speaker while it is playing piano. The 3 1/2 inch floppy drive stopped working years ago and piano has sat unplayed. Alex Peppe in Maine recently helped resolve issues and directed me to a $55 blue tooth WIDI MASTER “plug in” that allows me to play the piano with my phone. I use it with my Yamaha Disklavier at home but was missing music at my lake home. With a few messages, the lake home is now filled with my favorite piano music by streaming PIANOSTREAM to my Sonos speakers. My piano tuner told me about the streaming service that would totally increase our listening pleasure. The system on our piano is a QRS 3 system that has been integrated so very nicely. They compliment each other so very well, I have been wanting a player system for the past 20 plus years and so happy to finally have one with such great services from PianoStream and the Player system. By the end of the evening I was so frustrated and ready to give it up I went back to the Piano Stream website and decided to give the email listed a shot. Never did I expect the prompt service I got from Richie Hayes. He was able to help we through the process, step by step. We are now up and running with everything working perfectly. The Piano Steam App is outstanding! Quality and selections. So if you were on the fence as to purchase this app let me assure you that you will NOT be disappointed. Called the number and got immediate assistance which fixed the problem. (Hint: when in doubt unplug the piano for one minute!😂) Super thrilled with this app and that they are always upgrading and adding new music. Watch your bill when/after you sign up. Thank you for your feedback — it helps us improve. ### 2/5 — Good selection of music but… *2024-01-25* There was no obvious way to request more, and most songs had very messy metadata, making it hard to find things. It also managed to almost deplete my battery by 10am. I believe the Bluetooth is constantly searching for my piano. Needs a bit more polish to justify the cost, in my opinion. ### 2/5 — Who is responsible for the user interface? *2023-08-10* The idea and the expertise of the person behind this app really has potential, but seriously: the user interface is horrible, really horrible. Basic functionality like searching is a burden each time you use it, I mean hey - your customers pay for your service and we appreciate your technical expertise around Disklaviers. But please, get some help from people who know how to design an iOS App. This one looks and feels and works (not) like it was coded by a committee. ### 3/5 — Expensive *2026-03-20* It’s a brilliant app but it’s just too expensive. ### 4/5 — Alsmost perfect *2020-09-26* This app did exactly what I wanted in a player piano controller. It supports direct midi connections, but the interface really doesn’t mention anything other than network or bluetooth so you have to fiddle with the settings to get the direct USB midi to work. Also it does not support landscape mode. These are my two biggest gripes and it would have gotten 5 stars if it weren’t for this. Landscape mode is a must if you are using an iPad with a wired connections, as you won’t be able to stand the iPad on the music stand in portrait mode with a usb adapter hanging off the bottom. Please add this, as I also believe that Apple is making landscape iPad compatibility a requirement for future apps anyways. ### 5/5 — Help installing on my piano *2026-05-09, version 1.0.7* Richie reached back it to me almost immediately and on a Saturday and Sunday was there to assist me in getting this system up and running as I am definitely not the most tech savvy person! I signed up for Piano Stream to take advantage of their large catalog of music to play on my Piano Disc 128 plus that I had installed in 2008. I immediately encountered issues that would not allow my baby grand to play the keyboard. Richie walked me through every step imaginable to bring this to a resolution - back to back texts, calls and continued follow ups until we had success. I had a technician lined up from over a hundred miles to address my issue - needless to say he is no longer needed.
