## What is PianoTrail?

PianoTrail helps you turn the chords you already know into real music. Start from scratch, or learn to turn what you know into accompaniments with rhythm and style.

PROGRESSIONS STUDIO: CREATE YOUR OWN
Already play a little? Build your own progressions of up to 24 bars, organised in sections, or start from the catalogue. Change scale, tempo and rhythms; practice with automatic key rotation or try Transfer suggestions. Free up to 3 bars; catalogue import, saving, extending to 24 and advanced key rotation require Pass.

Download PianoTrail for free and try trails and exercises. Complete the welcome journey to unlock the visual Chord and Scale Dictionary for free, for good.

Place your iPhone, iPad or Mac by the piano. Pick a path for your level and move forward step by step: every stage connects a skill, an explanation, and a guided practice. You don't need to know how to read sheet music to start.

A PATH TO LEARN
Just starting out? Get to know the keyboard, place your hands, and learn to coordinate them at your own pace.
Already know a few chords? Discover how to link them and bring them to life with accompaniment patterns in pop, rock, blues, jazz, and gospel.
Explore 49 learning trails and 563 practice stages, from beginner to advanced levels. The exercises are part of a journey: you understand an idea, practice it, and move on to the next challenge.

LISTEN, UNDERSTAND, AND PLAY
• Follow the practice with a visual keyboard, dynamic notation, and fingering guides.
• Slow the tempo down and prepare the next notes and chords.
• Practice with a metronome and piano and drum accompaniment.
• Open the Practice Guide with the theory and instructions for the step you are playing, without leaving the exercise.
• Study with an immersive reader that explains the technical and musical context of every stage.

LABS AND DICTIONARY
Build skills in the rhythm and scale labs. Explore 128 scales across 14 families and the visual Chord and Scale Dictionary to understand notes, intervals and inversions.

MIDI FOR YOUR PIANO
Connect a compatible MIDI keyboard via USB or Bluetooth to receive the notes you play. MIDI Feedback, in early access, is part of PianoTrail Pass and can be enabled using the button above the score in LeadSheet Studio and Scales Lab.

PACKS TO KEEP OR PIANOTRAIL PASS
Packs of trails and exercises are one-time purchases you keep forever: pick only the ones you want or, for your first purchase, PianoTrail Complete brings together Start, Next and Styles 01–03. PianoTrail Pass unlocks the entire catalogue, including packs we publish later, plus the advanced tools: MIDI Feedback, saving in Progressions Studio and advanced key rotation.
Use the same Apple Account to restore your purchases on iPhone, iPad and Mac with Apple silicon. Packs and the Pass support Family Sharing when your family has Apple's Purchase Sharing enabled.
Practice without depending on a continuous connection. Exercises work with the included piano sound, with no extra download. For eligible content, you can optionally download Piano HD for higher-quality piano sound. Your progress stays on your device.
Available in English and Spanish on iPhone and iPad, and on Macs with Apple silicon as an iPad-designed app.
