Awesome!!! **Developer response:** Thank you! ### 4/5 — Great picture scanning app *2026-08-11* Very intuitive and simple to learn, and does a great job of making short work of picture scanning projects. I sold my slow photo quality flat-bed scanner this past weekend because it’s so impractical after using Pic Scanner Gold. My ONLY real criticism is that you can’t move the camera(phone) in close enough to fill most of the frame with just the picture. The app makes you stay back quite a ways so you end up with a lot of the blank work area behind the scanned picture in your “Originals” before the cropped to image “Gallery” picture is made. Seems like a LOT of wasted pixel space, which could be used to provide an even higher quality scan of the original picture. ### 3/5 — Is in Ordnung *2026-07-07* Funktioniert nicht so perfekt wie erwartet. Didn’t want the hassle of having to take them out and scan on my printer. Phototyme seemed like a perfect solution - but not worth $19.99/month! I actually asked @Grok for other Photo apps and it mentioned Pic Scanner Gold. The ONE TIME Cost of $9.99 is incredible! I just scanned an entire 3 week vacation of 275 pics to Yellowstone in 15 minutes! Literally just took a pic of each page of the album and software cropped and saved each one. ** I did appreciate the note in the instructions about reducing glare - it really helped! Sometimes it was washed out, other times the colour was great, cropping was fine. But it always looked like the photo had been taken from a slight wrong angle. The subjects never looked right. Much like real estate photos which are always taken from weird angles to make the rooms look bigger. Even when scanning pics one at a time picture quality is poor. I do much better with just taking the pic from my phone camera.
